My Henry 45-70 Model X has a bad recoil, but it is a bush gun. This comet muzzle break should lesson the recoil. The comet muzzle break fits perfect. I can't wait to try it out.

As a research and tooling machinist in the aerospace industry, I recognize the excellence of the design and fabrication of the Ranger Point Precision items that I've purchased. The quality of materials used and the outstanding workmanship in RPP parts are outstanding! American made, and a great value for a good price.

I am leaving 4 stars, here's why:
Good: My original order came as advertised and super fast. Very pleased.
Bad: When I had a question regarding another part, and emailed Ranger Precision for guidance, I could not have received a more incompetent/wrong/effortless series of answers in our email exchange. I finally gave up.
Summary: If you know 100% about the part you're ordering, you will be pleased.
If not........

I recently purchased the clover leaf peep sight for my Marlin 1895. As soon as I started to mount it I noticed the manufacturer did not properly center the scope mount holes. I love the sight so much I dropped it off at a gunsmith the next day and asked home to mount it perfectly centered. It looks amazing and I can’t wait to sight it in!

Hammer extension good, safety delete good. Loading gate seems to have some up and down play.

From the day I was notified of item being back in stock to receiving the rail was 4 days. It doesn’t get better than that. The RPP rail is night and day better than the previous one, and the fit and finish is spectacular.

Awesome products and very quick shipping.
The instructions, combined with the videos from Wolf’s Prairie Outdoors, make for a easy install. I will be outfitting my dad’s lever action soon.

The spring on the Ranger Point loading gate, is not all that much lighter than the stock Marlin spring, but the profile, and design is so much better. The cartridges load smoothly, and effortlessly, and there is no more chipping of the fingernails at the loading gate, when inserting the cartridges, on my CBL 45 Colt.
