We loved the Mass Loaded Vinyl, we usually have it above Spectrum, and the Jute to seal the deal. Ideal for Thermal and Sound proofing applications. We used in our main Freightliner FL80 and our support vehicle Jeep

Spectrum is a great product! The weather here (Washington State) cooled before I was able to completely coat my car, but even with partial coverage, the difference is very noticeable. I have to be more careful now though, because the car is so quiet that it feels like I am going much more slowly than I am!

Went on pretty nice but after drying overnight it developed cracks/wrinkles in the finish.

need to be aware of 2 things:
the sticky on the back is like nothing you have ever seen. it comes off the foam easy but will not come off anything else. be very careful when removing the paper backing or the glue might go with iit or tear the foam.
this foam is pretty fragile once the surface is broken. if you snag or catch it on something or don't use a extremely sharp knife?/pair of scissors you will tear )damage it
worked perfect to go over damplifier pro tikes on the roo of my Cadillac CTS coupe.

First time installing and it went pretty good. Definitely use a razor blade to cut the material and wear gloves to avoid any minor cuts from the foil.

Love this stuff and all the Second Skin products.

very sticky stuff. Easy to work with. if applying another layer, on top, I'd highly recommend applying a spray adhesive to the substrate to assist the bond.

I have a 1975 Pinzgauer 710M... Swiss Army truck. It started having a bit of rust in the footwell areas front passenger. While I was treating the rust I wanted to try and quiet the ride. This is a metal rolling tub that will climb walls and go anywhere; but it's just loud when driving it. My passenger and I can't really have a conversation. SO, while I stripped the metal, after applying POR-15 products, I then painted on the Spectrum. It's applied in both front wheel wells, under the body tub, inside all 4 walls of the air tunnel, to the front passenger cab front above the bumper and inside the cab below the air tunnel. The truck has metal floor plates for driver and passenger which also rattle like crazy. I have applied 4 coats of Spectrum to all of the above. I am amazed at how well it has deadened the rattling and vibrating metal. For most of where it is applied, instead of the metal ringing when you tap or hit it, it only goes "thud". The product is very easy to apply, easy to clean up, and works amazingly well. I fully intend to do the remainder of the truck after hunting season is over :). Once she's totally back together I intend to use Luxury Liner Pro for a noise blocker applied to some carpet and then Mega Zorb to build a headliner sound abosorber. Stay tuned. If you are looking for a sound deadener Spectrum is your product. I'll attach photos if I figure out the upload. This product works!!! Love it.

For counting with our Sound and Thermal insulation we focus on the floor using 1 layer of Heat Wave Pro™ - Jute Thermal Insulation and luxury liner pro on top
Then we moved to the ceiling also we started with 1 layer of Heat Wave Pro but the 2nd layer of Overkill Sheet Peel, closed cell insulation Peel and Stick and
Last we focus on the under cabin and down there we went with 2 layers of Spectrum Liquid Sound Deadening and 2 layers of Firewall ceramic thermal coating

Heat wave is our to go product our first line of defense but always under it we recommend Spectrum for sound deadening then this great product and lastly luxury liner pro for excellent results

This stuff worked great on my unconventional "skid steer" project. Engine compartment > Layered on top of 1 layer Damplifier and 1 layer Megasorb. Layered floor pan and everything under seat in the same fashion. Inside cab layered with the addition of overkill & Lux liner under the factory perforated vinyl/ foam upholstery. My cab is quiet enough now, that I can be working and talking on speaker phone at the same time. I couldn't ever do that in the past and normally wore hearing protection when working.

I installed your sound deadening product on a 2001 MasterCraft Prostar 190 engine cover. Not only does it quiet the engine compartment but looks clean and neat when opening the cover for oil check’s etc.
I received the product within a few days from my order and had it fully installed in a couple of days. Most of that time was spent cleaning off the old factory insulation.
I’d recommend this product highly to anyone trying to quiet their engine compartments.

Works just like it should! In fact better, as it was easier to install than what some people were indicating in their reviews. When y project gets to the next phase , I will be ordering more and perhaps some of the other products .
