This is a well-designed and laid out description of Lean Six Sigma. It contains extensive discussion of the parts of Lean and Six Sigma presented in a logical progression in an easy self-paced style with progress quizzes to map your understanding of the material. I liked the interaction of how it showed Lean and Six Sigma as individual disciplines interwoven into the Lean Six Sigma philosophy we use today and how they complement each other both in use and as a management tool. Lean is overcoming waste in throughput and velocity to meet demand. Six Sigma works within pieces of that lean value stream to reduce variation and issues that prevent the lean value stream from meeting that demand, on quality and on time. All concepts and tools were clearly explained with great examples. The exam was challenging with both theory and calculation based questions and even though the answers were multiple choice and right in front of you it made you "do the math" to choose the right one. As presented and verified by exam it prepares one to be a better project/product/process manager and mentor for those performing other projects.

Excellent for focusing your time on what matters most. There are many technical parts of this course that are good. All of the concepts are a review and reminder of college level statistics classes from an engineering curriculum. Very useful in many industries.
What I liked the most are the methods taught to find and focus on the most influential factors first. In business, you're never going to have enough time or resources to study your problem as thoroughly as you want. This course helped me understand and balance this limited resources concept with finding and dealing with the variables that you can control and which have the greatest influence on the observed results.
