Nice even tone. I got 12-54 for Epiphone EJ200 and 11-52 for my other acoustic. Got 9-42 for PRS. Most strings have one or two strings that tend to ring out more than the others. These do not. The 1st string is more mellow then Elixirs.

Thanks to Scott Marquart's hospitality in answering my inquiries, he gave me a lot of suggestions of string gauges to try, we nailed it on a custom gauge set which i really love which is a gauge 8-48. Never thought i'd play that and love it and is perfect for multiscale guitars and regular. The tension is just perfect, and it is easier for me to control. Lead lines are more fluid and vocal like, and the lows are just full and accurate. A winner!

My 45 years long quest for the ideal string sets has come to an end. Over are the days when I went out to buy single strings to put my own customized set together. From the beginning all standard string sets didn't feel right to me. But now there's Stringjoy & Scott (really knows what he is talking about).
