I’ve been a longtime user of coated strings. I was stoked to find out Stringjoy offers a coated string without pfas or ptfes. - Bought some packs, changed on a few guits, gigged and recorded with them, I teach almost everyday, so I’ve been putting them through the paces with literal constant play. I’ve been really liking them and they’ve been such a welcome change in feel and sound.
With my most recent purchase, the plain g string was rusty(?) or blackish in two spots. Strung it up to see if it would interfere with playing; one spot was behind the peg, but the other was right on a fret. I tried scratching the crusty, burned-looking stuff off to no avail.
It’s a minor qualm, but I’m pretty bummed since this was maybe my 4th or 5th pack. Not really sure what to do from here but felt it important to let you guys know!

Hi Brian—I'm so sorry to hear about this, though rare, we replace faulty strings free of charge when they do come up. I will send you an email now to arrange a replacement, but in the future just write us as soon as it happens so we can get you back up and playing as quickly as possible.

I decided to give Stringjoy a try after seeing your ads on Facebook. I have a Martin D-28 that I've been playing since 1979. I've always used either C.F. Martin or D'Addario strings (light gauge), and they've always been phosphor bronze. In deciding to give you a shot, I ordered three different sets: your Brights, your Naturals (Phosphor Bronze), and your Foxwoods (Coated Phosphor Bronze). I'm a singer-songwriter who plays out a lot so I typically change my strings about once every two months. I've had your Brights on my guitar for about a month now and I don't like them. I don't like the tone and they don't stay in tune as well as my Martin and D'Addario strings always did. I'll be trying the Naturals next and then the Foxwoods after those. Hopefully the phosphor bronze will be more to my liking. Sorry...just being honest!

The Foxwoods are the best strings I’ve ever experienced. They feel great and add wonderful warmth and clarity to my high-end dreadnought. True story: I withdrew my Reverb listing for this guitar after putting a set of Foxwoods on it. It’s now the best guitar I’ve ever played. Needless to say the previous strings were garbage - harsh, ultra sensitive and noisy. None of that with Stringjoy. Thank you!

I tried my first set of Stringjoy strings a month or so ago. I really like the way they sound on my SJ200, and how they hold up over several gigs. I gave strings to all my band mates for Christmas. The only problem I had was the length of time it took to receive the strings. The order tracking was all wrong and the delivery dates missed by three days. Fortunately they arrived in time for Christmas.
