Perfect strings. Not too bright not too bassy.

I tried checking out to make a purchase three time this morning. Your website wasn’t working. I responded to your email and never received a response regarding whether your website was functioning correctly or not. Love your strings but today’s experience was mildly disappointing.

Strings sound and feel great. They also stay in tune!

Ok let’s do some real talking here.

I’ve been playing guitar for over twenty years, and I have used a lot of strings. GHS, Ernie Ball, D’Addario, DR, you name it. I’ve gone through extended periods of using each one exclusively and some definitely pleased me more than others. I looked at Stringjoy for years maybe, but hesitated because of the cost, and you know what, I was wrong. They’re worth it.

First of all, being able to make your own custom set, for no extra charge, and as any regular schmo off the street, is something to be applauded. A lot of my bouncing between companies was in part to find a gauge that worked for me without having to take extra steps (who wants to buy multiple different packs, or extra individual strings and have weirdly mismatched sets?). Throughout that search, I found something that worked really well, but wasn’t necessarily perfect. Stringjoy has allowed me to experiment and find the perfect set for me, without sacrificing quality, or ease.

Second, these strings are killer sonically. I literally bought a copy of my current string set, and placed them on my guitar, and immediately felt and heard a difference. I still have other companies’ strings, but they’re for little projects and setups for other folks. The Stringjoy sets are all mine.

Lastly, let’s talk tuning stability and quality control. I put these babies on a guitar that I had an almost impossible time intonating. I tried the normal tricks and got as close as I could, but it was always a hair off. The moment I popped these on, that issue was gone. Solid usability with every string, and not one pack I have opened has had a dud. The attention to detail that the folks at Stringjoy bring is amazing, and sometimes hard to find.

I have been a gear nut for a while, and have really focused on being involved with great companies in recent years. I like knowing that the people I’m supporting care as much as I do about their craft. Stringjoy does that. Do yourself a favor and pick some up.

Only wish there was a way to get calculated tension sets per tuning easier. I.e. emailing someone and they send you the gauges you need to order.

Coming across a small American based company that cares about this much about the products they provide their consumers is becoming increasingly rare these days. I feel their strings are genuinely superior to many other brands out there. I immediately noticed a massive difference in feel upon re-stringing my guitars when using Stringjoy strings. I've tried multiple sets of varying gauges throughout the years, Ernie Ball, DR strings, Elixir, D'Addario NYXL, and so on. Stringjoy strings feel much more balanced and slinky, even though the set I chose was comprised of thicker gauges than the others I'd used in the past. I am tickled to death with Stringjoy's product quality and customer service, they truly care.
