The feeder in these pictures is now 10 years old, and has evolved step by step in response to determined raccoon attacks. The double paving-stone base was to prevent the banzai-style attacks of multiple raccoons trying to topple the device. The second picture documents the chewed-up wooden shield to protect the discharge port of the feeder. It is truly ugly, but has worked for years. On multiple occasions, prior tot this, they got into the mechanism and ripped out the wire that bounces the discharge plate. The second hopper was added this spring, and gives 10 days of a 45-second dispense, three times a day. There has not been any problem feeding Purina Complete cat food.

On another note, I tried for some years to put a waterproof timer on this structure to set up the feeding times. I finally gave up. Digital timers invariably get moisture in them causing failure, and the mechanical ones are, basically, junk. So the wire now leads through a hole in the garage, tied to a digital timer with attached power supply. It stays bone dry, and has been bulletproof.

As you can see, there is a satisfied customer using it, and several neighborhood cats gather at the first dispense of the day at 6 am.

The feeder is pretty complicated to set up, but luckily I heard about it from a friend who has one and was able to help me. Once it was set up it has been great to not have to worry about feeding my cats. My only complaint is that it is very loud. My friend said he thought it might get quieter as time went on, but it has been months and it is still just as loud.

I love my Super-Feeder(s). I came across these feeders about 5+ years ago. I've used a couple of different feeders in the decades I have been in the Reef hobby and they are all junk. The Superfeeder is the best! I am able to mix various size pellets, flakes and powder foods. I feed the corals and the fish whenever I want. I loved mine so much I gave one to my Dad for Father's Day for his Koi pond. He now has one on his Freshwater tank too. I now have 4 Super Feeders at my house. I got Unique Corals to install Super Feeders on each Raceway. They started with one for feeding the fish, and now they added a second one on each Raceway for adding Yeast. I feel pretty confident in saying that since I bought my first Super-Feeder I have convinced no less than 20 people to add the Super Feeder to their aquariums. And to date the only failure is when they get dropped into the tanks.

Purchased the feeder close to a year ago for the feral cats in our gated community. Liked the first Super Feeder so much I purchased a 2nd one for another location in the community. It is compact in size and easy to adjust the amount of food to suit the pellet size. We were able to attach the feeder to a 4x4 about 3 feet up in the air and with a length of eaves trough connected to the spout, food drops directly into the bowl. We did have to build a box around it to keep the raccoons out. Excellent unit for the price.

Solid feeder. Our persistent cat can't get into it as long as the lid is taped or sealed shut through other means.

As soon as putting the feeder together (which was very easy) and plugging it into a smart outlet it instantly worked as intended and still is after months. Thank you!

This kit came with everything we needed to get our cats set up with the new automatic feeder. We had one of the rotating feeders before, and our cats broke into it easily. They haven't been able to break into this one, and it's allowed us to set it and forget it. I also really like the wide bowl that comes with it as it makes it easier for our cats to share. Definitely watch the set-up video as you set it up. Worth the cost.

This is the 2nd unit we've purchased for our cats. Originally we used one unit that split the same food into two conduits. Now our cats need two different types of food due to specialized diets. This second one was easy to setup and runs off the same automatic digital timer as the first so that both cats don't get agitated that the other is eating at a different time.

Pros:
- Massive amount of dry food storage. I don't have to refill the food for at least 20 days.
- Mostly tamper proof. Our cats tried and failed to get into these devices. They failed miserably, and gave up after about a week of trying.
- Automated timer and food amount is consistent. We set ours to ~1/3rd a cup, 3x per day. It's always at the right time and always consistent amount of food.
- If a part is broken or missing, it's easy to buy that specific part from SuperFeeder. This is VERY useful. Our original design was mounted to a 2x4 stand so that we could separate it into two bowls. We no longer use this setup since only one bowl is needed. However, we apparently tossed some of the parts we originally received and had to purchase them from SuperFeeder again. This was easy to do.
- Never Jams. Literally.
- Can set it up anywhere in the house.

Cons:
- Sometimes the food jumps out over the bowl due to how fast it's moving out of the shoot. There's not much you can do to prevent this. It happens to about 1 out of every 15 kibbles. Our cats generally just eat the food out of the bowl.

Thoughts for improvements:
- Not a drawback of SuperFeeder, but we can't get one cat out of the other cats bowl. Perhaps some type of RFID attached to their imbedded tag could trigger something that protects the food. I'm not sure how this could be accomplished.

This automatic feeder is very well made by a company with exceptional customer service and pride in products. From the moment I ordered the feeder I knew the customer service was terrific. Shipping and order communication was timely and helpful. The clear and detailed instructions and support included in the well organized package and also via email and website were excellent.

My cat enjoys eating 3 smaller meals spread out in the day and I enjoy restful sleep and peace during the day since I am no longer associated with food dispensing. The automatic feeder works very well for travel. We set a monitoring camera on the feeder and can confirm the food is dispensing at its regular intervals and are able to see our cat at feeding times.

I bought the CSF 3 pet feeder assembled. I did so only after an extensive review of other feeders. I spent days reviewing the competitors. Most of them have built in timers that eventually fail to function and the Super Feeder uses an ordinary external timer that can be replaced if need be. I use to get up at 2:30 AM to feed my 2 cats. Now the feeder does it for me and I can enjoy some quality sleep. That alone is worth the price of this unit.

I set these feeders up as they came out of the box expecting that I would need to add some creative touches to them to keep our two locksmiths out of them. I was wrong. I set them up a day before we went on a weekend trip and watched the fireworks. The kitties were miffed. Before they had gone through three auto feeders with a rotary wheel that looked like a water wheel. They were able to rebound off of them to dump them, or bend /break off the tangs on the wheel and the buffet was on. No such luck with these. They could not knock them over, could not sneak a kibble. Nothing... When we came back from our trip the feeders had moved around a few inches but they were intact and the kitties were still yowling at me when I came in their room. They do not like me anymore... These feeders were worth every penny. Thank you for going the extra mile to get them to me in time for our trip.

Excellent product, quality workmanship. This is the second CSF-3 recently purchased for a new addition. Normally the cats are fed manually but when needed for human absence the CSF-3 can be used with confidence. The clear extension can be added optionally for additional capacity, I have added 1 to each unit.

Purchased this feeder for use at our cabin. My two cats have used this model at home for several years, and the operation has been flawless. Without the automatic feeder, the cats were always begging for food and free feeding is not an option because of a weight issue in one of the cats. Portion control is excellent with this feeder.
The cats receive 3 small feedings and additional wet food once or twice daily so they are happy. When a petsitter is needed, they can come only once daily.

Very happy with this feeder. It was easy to set up. Love that I was able to mount this one on a 4x4 post, raise it from the ground and add a section of eavestrough to keep the raccoons out of it. Using a large cat food and no difficulty dispensing it. It is much better than other brands I have purchased in the past.

I just now put it together. That was a bit of a challenge to an older person with poor eyesight and reduced dexterity- but you can tell it is quality made. In the past I wasted money on one of the junky things from Petco that hasn't been worth the investment. Thank you for making this product- would recommend to others.

I got this automatic feeder for my mom for Christmas because our cats would wake her up howling every morning to be fed around 5 a.m. before her alarm would go off. Now, they're content to be fed early while she gets to sleep in and she calls me to thank me for buying her "the gift of sleep" about once a month. :) The employees processing and shipping my order were so helpful too. I highly recommend this product!

I purchased this product in October of 2014. I had a little problem with it at first, regarding the installation and the timer. I was able to get good, sound advice from the seller. The Super Feed has been operating without fail since (February, 2017).
It has allowed my wife and I to go on vacations as long as 3 weeks. The cat is always there when we get back from a trip (not always happy with our absence).
The combination of this project, with a water dispenser and a kitty tube for the car to sleep in with a heating pad to keep her at a cat's body temperature has been invaluable.

New customer with an outdoor cat. Company was extremely helpful with order and unit was delivered promptly. Unit was fairly easy to assemble. Food drop calibration took some time to adjust. The mechanical feeder works as advertised using digital timer. I set it for five small feedings during the day to insure the cat is fed while leaving little for a varmint's nocturnal raid.

My main concern is raccoons taking the food and tearing up the feeder. It took quite a while to design and adapt a weatherproof, animal proof, shelter for the feeder. Super Feeder website had inspiring ideas. I used a Rubbermaid 30 gallon trash can with lid as a housing. I mounted a plywood baffle at mid height in the can and mounted the feeder in the top portion on top of the baffle. The food drops through a hole in the baffle. I cut an access hole for the cat in the bottom half of the can. Time will tell if it remains raccoon proof.
