The two twelve year old cats I just adopted needed to diet. They followed me around vocalizing, which I interpreted as "I'm hungry"! This was not good for our relationship and I knew I had to distance myself from feeding them. Since feeding them exclusively from the timed feeder, they have stopped coming to me and "vocalizing". They now get five smaller meals per day and are happily accepting less food.

I've searched long and hard for an automatic feeder for my senior Miniature Horse. He can't have much hay anymore and needs a pelleted feed. I found indoor cat feeders which won't survive outside, and horse feeders that were close to a thousand bucks and only designed to be used in a barn. And then I found Super Feeder! I was very happy with the customer service Gerard offered to answer all my questions and advise me on the right package for my needs. The feeder shipped quickly and arrived right on time. I'm still working on just the right solution for mounting the feeder so my horse can't get at it but it's easy for me to fill. Joe is a bit more destructive than your average feral cat! The 4x3 downspout that's shown on the website for protecting outdoor feeders is not available in Canada, and the 2X3 I can get is just too small. I'm now waiting on the 4x3 downspout extension I ordered from Menard's. Hopefully soon I can share a picture of the whole setup!

I have been a customer for many years. We feed 10 feral cats at our barn as well as 2 indoor cats. Both feeders have worked great all these years. And with this last purchase I had an issue with my power supply and the customer service was just top notch.

Solid upgrade to my cat feeder, and extra weight helps keep my cat from smacking extra food out of it.

Really excited to have this. Our hungriest cat is finally letting us sleep in on weekends without getting up to feed her first. Also hoping it'll help long term with weight management and portioning. I think, in general, products built to last with fewer IOT and complicating components are better, especially when it comes to things affecting the health of pets. Was extremely happy to find something made locally, out of high quality components, with a clear and simple mechanism, and a non-internet connected timer further polluting the IOT network in my home. If I do decide I want to use a z-wave timer or something too, I love that these feeders give me the flexibility to do that. Its just a well designed, well thought out product that I can see lasting years, if not decades.

I have to replace my outdoor feeder. My old feeder and timer lasted for 8 or 10 years. The good thing about there products are you can still get replacement parts. They are not over sea junk. Thanks.

We’d been using our superfeeder for more than 11 years, but one day it just stopped working. I called the number on the website, and to my surprise a man answered. (Not a robo voice or an automated system!) He patiently helped me troubleshoot the problem so that I could be sure I ordered the correct replacement part. It took less than 5 minutes, and it saved me so much hassel. The part arrived promptly, and the videos online made it easy to swap out. I’m so happy to have been able to extend the life of such a useful product, instead of simply being told to throw it out and buy another.

Bought this to control with a zigbee plug and Home Assistant. Working well, seems to be a quality product.

Let me start by saying that we’ve been running our super feeder since 2009 (it’s now 2025). I recently overhauled it to clean out some accumulated kibble dust, and after that it’s essentially as good as the day we received it. During this time, we’ve relied on the little rotary portion control (“volume screw”) built into the unit. While functional, making minor adjustments requires trial and error, which can be more difficult with the feeder built into an enclosure as ours is. By instead using this external timer, it is possible to gain digitally-accurate (to the second) portion control that is simple, accessible, and visually verifiable. I originally scoured the internet for this kind of solution, and, having found nothing suitable, was close to making something myself, when thankfully I found this timer right here on the super feeder website. Great upgrade for the feeder!

Well made product! When we travel, we need a setup that could last a week. With adding an extra hopper it did the job! Installation was a breeze and the timer was easy too!

Thank you Gerard for sending us the distribution roller for our Super Feeder. We have been using our Super Feeder for many years. It's great to be able to buy parts and have many more years use. Packaging was great. Communication through the purchase was excellent.

We recently had a stray cat adopt us. With a month and half into feeding and getting her healthy, we had a trip planned where we would be one for a month. So the search was on for a feeder that we could install to accommodate her. We now have the feeder in place and she is using it. We are very pleased with how it turned out.

Update: Same day as my original review. I updated my review to 5 stars because I really do think this is the best option on the market. It's Sunday and Super-Feed has already responded to my review with an apology for the power supply. The do not manufacture the power supply and therefore cannot warranty it but the quick response is very much appreciated. They state that clearly in the return policy and I was aware of it. They do offer an 'outdoor' power supply which I may try as a replacement. If I do, I will be sure to leave a review about it as well.

I bought this feeder because I needed a solution to feed our 'barn cats' for extended periods of time. I added a second hopper and verified that the two hoppers together hold about 10 lbs of food. The hoppers worked flawlessly while we were in Europe for 6 weeks. We had neighbors check it several times just to ensure it was still working. This feeder allows us to be gone and not have to have someone come by daily to feed the cats.
I only gave it 4 stars because I left to go out of town for a little over a week and when I got back the cats were acting like they hadn't eaten for several days. We did have someone come by mid-week to check the food and all was well so it couldn't have been more than two days without food. There are plenty of mice in the field so I wasn't worried about only checking every several days. It turns out the power supply had stopped working. This was after being in use for a little over 5 months. The power supply is not included in the warranty but 5 months is not very long. Also, the feeder is outside but completely out of the weather and has not been exposed to any extreme temperatures.
I like this feeder very much and would recommend it without reservation. It is far superior to anything on the market for a nearly unsupervised and long-term solution.

We’ve had our super feeder for going on 10 years and it’s been running flawlessly. We’ve had it mounted to a piece of wood on our wall and split the food to go into multiple bowls. Now that we only have one cat we decided to take it off the wall and use this stand. I really appreciate that this company sells whatever parts you need, even nearly a decade later I can get whatever parts are needed or I want to change. Great service, great product and great company!
