We needed to find a an automatic feeder for our picky & puky kitty. We tried all the slow feed bowls and dishes, coming home on lunch, waking up in the middle of the night, but we just couldn't get the portions right. Either our cat would gobble the food to quickly and vomit or she wasn't getting enough small feeding throughout the day because we just weren't home enough. The Supper Feeder has solved these problems and probably save our cat. We're now able to schedule several, like over 30, small feedings a day. Enough food to maintain her weight and enough to no make her vomit it back up. And to boot the thing runs all by it's self. All we have to do is top the hopper off once a week. Our cat is now dissociating feeding time with us and associating feeding time with the tinkle-tinkle of the super feeder. She's less meowy in the mornings and just as cuddly at night. Best $150 I've spent on myself & the cat in a long time. Thanks!

We've had the large feeder with the big capacity hopper for 3 years. It has done very well and held up to many many raccoons that are now living at a local state park. 3 years almost to the day the biggest raccoon we've ever seen climbed the feeder and ripped the front off of the chute area so we had to get a replacement (he also now lives at the state park and we have plans for a box around the feeder). I decided on this one for the spare parts. I will continue to buy Superfeeders so long as they're selling them!

I first purchased a SuperFeeder 6 years ago to feed two cats and it is still going strong today. Just purchased a new one for a second household with two more cats and since I was already familiar with it, assembly was a breeze and it works flawlessly. Overall, I highly recommend this feeder, especially if you feed with small uniformly shaped cat food. My only negatives: 1) screws that hold extension tubes/hopper are weak. Be very careful to not try to lift the unit by the hopper or they will pull loose. 2) the instructions, while certainly thorough, need to be pulled together into one intuitive guide. They are all over the place, in printed user guide, on small pieces of paper packed with parts, in the videos, etc.

Well made product, performs as promised! Purchased two of this model- one for indoor cat and the other for an outdoor cat for when we went on vacation. Continue to use them as automatic feeders even when we are in town.

I bought this model to go along with other feeders I bought about 5 years ago, because we get a new cat and they don't like sharing. Although it is marked (and discounted) as "blemished" I couldn't see why. It looks great, and works great! My cats haven't ever been able to game these machines, and I never have to worry about reliability. It's super sturdy and easy to set up, and my cats dont bother me all day long for extras because I'm not the food source anymore! If you are on the fence at all, go for it! It's the best product I have ever bought in my life, no exaggeration.

Since I was already buying another feeder, I figured I would also grab 2 of these bowls to replace the older style metal bowls on my super feeders so all of the feeders in our array would match. They are a great addition to the machine. The older style worked okay, but often the kibbles would be "forgotten" in the tight space directly under the chute when the cats didn't feel like swatting them out. With this bowl, everything is directed away from the opening, which makes it a lot easier to get to. Additionally, the style of the bowl fits seamlessly with the stand combo, so it not only looks great but is also really secure. Even the older feeders accepted the new style bowl without any issues.

The motor on our Super Feeder failed after many years of use. This replacement is a perfect fit in every way. It does require you to have soldering skills to transfer the circuit board from the old base to the new. Make sure to note the wiring connections before you remove the circuit board from the old base. You can also take a photo.

I echo the previous reviewer. The timer seems to work well and the backup battery is an excellent feature. But the viewing angle issue has not changed in the 2 years since Dan posted his review.

The replacement PC Board is very easy to install. All one has to do is remove two screws holding the Board and then with a soldering iron remove 4 existing wires and solder the 4 new ones in place. Note, the wires are color coded and have a note tag so one does not mix up the wiring. The entire process took me between 5 and 10 minutes. The highlight was that the new timing potentiometer has 20 turns and not a single turn as on the original board.

We live in Europe and couldn't find a decent cat feeder so we dug deep, bought this feeder, despite high shipping costs and customs fees we are very happy with the feeder.

It was a right faff to set up, but luckily my husband took that challenge. We had to mount it to the wall as our hungry cat dragged the feeder across the hall floor!

We had to buy a European digital timer; pity the timer is not integrated into the product. But now we have it set up it's working a treat and our food loving cat now gets fed 5 times a day with 10 gram amounts.

We are happy with the product; we have tried many feeders and this is the only one our cat has not destroyed!!!!

Did a great deal of research on the majority of automated cat feeders on the market and after speaking to a company representative via their customer service 800 number, I decided to purchase Deal-24 -- CFS Double Super Feeder
Combo with Chute Covers, 1 ACDT-36 Dual Outlet Digital Timer, Stands and Bowls, plus I also order 2- 1.5 Hoppers. This product is awesome and operates as advertised. Very satisfied with the quality and operation of the products. The unit is worth the financial investment. My 2 cats took to it immediately. The cats now have their own personal food butler! When the timer automatically turns on the units, it's like a dinner bell going off for them. It is the only product I know of that lets you control the exact amount of dry cat food to be dispensed. Did I mention that the units are awesome!!!

I've just received the feeder so we're still adjusting to it and the new feeding schedule but it's solidly built, works like a charm and couldn't be made or sold by nicer people

My 3rd/4th one I've purchased for the cats. Never any problems with them and they do their job. For extended feedings or unusual hours this is the way to go for feeding small kibbles. As stated the 1/4" kibble is excellent for metering but it will work with the combination of three different kibbles I use. Two are disks and one is a cross.
My cats never try to break in nor get unruly around it so there is no problem about them breaking it. If they do try to ransack the Superfeeder, then mounting it on a 4x4 just like a scratching post would do the trick.
I was thinking of how to feed multiple areas with one feeder (say on a counter), you could probably put holes into the bowl/base and run PVC to a couple of bowls a few feet apart. Buy a extra bowl and you can change it back to a single feeder. It would have to be mounted to something so it doesn't fall off the counter or get pushed off.
Clear packing tape around the joints will also prevent cat food hacking.

For years I had been manually dispensing food to my cats everyday until (after a whiile) it got to be a big repetitive chore. I went through the normal stages, buying a very cheap feeder but that only solved part of the problem. I was still faced with filling up that feeder on a daily basis (figuring the exact amount each time) and sometimes more than once a day if I was going to be gone for any length of time from home. Finally, in the Winter of 2013 I bought my first Super-Feeder CSF-3 (off of the Amazon site). It was priced within range for this type high quality of type of feeder and included most of the available options (including the chute, stand, and timer). After receiving it I followed SF's advice and decided to watch their video first. That made assembly a breeze (I could freeze it at crucial points, review what I might have missed, and set up the included timer more easily instead of trying to read paper instructions). After assembly, that feeder has been working non-stop for just about 2 and a half years. I no longer have to carry feeders from the pet's eating area to the kitchen, figure the servings, then take them back every single day. Now, I may load the feeder once a week using just the standard 2-section food hopper (there is a gallon option option so if you need it, they have it !) As I said, my first feeder included all options, so was priced higher because of that ; then I thought (hmmm, it'd be nice if both pets had these automated feeders). That would free up so much time for me every day. So, I began the search, checked directly of SF's website, and found that they sold the same CSF-3 without the options, and that purchase would save me over $75. I just had to be willing to make my own stand (a couple of 2x4s did the trick in no time flat) and I purchased a good timer (just 10 more bucks) from the local big box store. After assembly I had a worked unit (which they labeled as 'blemished' but this item has no flaws at all that I can see). So, definitely, if you're on a budget, go for the no-frills CSF-3 ( but if you want the timer, the stand, the detachable and whatever other extras come with the full package, then try that). Excellent customer service, high quality workmanship, and the pets actually do get attached to the Super Feeder after a few days 8-)

The feeder arrived as promised and was easy to assemble. The instructions were clear and precise. The quality was good and it worked as advertised. I like that any parts can be replaced individually and that the timer is not built in. I'm planning on this lasting for a very long time.

Super feeder and 1.5 Gallon Hopper is definitely the best combo for fish ponds.

Looked at cheaper alternatives but was worried the cats could get into it or it wouldn't trigger reliably. I've got two cats and one is more aggressive about eating so it was important that I get a set up where both feeders would trigger at EXACTLY the same time. This timer based system works beautifully and after getting the cycle time dialed in it's been in daily use for about a month now. Bowls are easy to remove and wash and I haven't had any issues with the cats getting into the hopper. It's not nearly the cheapest option out there for auto feeders but I guess you do pay for quality. Thanks!

I have bought four of these over the years. Not because they wear out. The first one I bought years ago for my koi pond, it's still in service. Three more as we've added cats to the household. Reliable product and fast service.

I was hesitant to spend the money on this feeder. I was skeptical that it would be reliable, right amount of food delivered at the right times, every time. I have found it to be totally reliable, amounts are correct and right on time. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a solution to accurate feedings multiple times a day.
