Silhouette Black Cameo 4 w/ Updated Autoblade, 3x Speed, Roll Feeder
Love the Silhouette Cameo! The software is versatile easy to use if you're familiar with design softwares like Illustrator. I purchased this to create custom packaging for my products and the machine has met all my expectations so far -- I've received messages from people saying their Cricuts can't make the the items I have created with the Silhouette and that the gold foiling with the Silhouette also seems better, so I am very happy with my choice.

Silhouette Studio to Business Edition Upgrade - Instant Code
The product is very good but when I went to use it I couldn’t get it to What I wanted which was to turn photos into layered engraving svg it took me quite a while to figure it out until I realised I’d downloaded the 4.0 version so I had to go to the silhouette website to update it. It now works I’m not sure if this is normal I have a quite an old laptop so this may be the reason. However I cannot turn my photos into negatives on this version whereas I could on the 4.0 version so I have to use another programme to this then import the negative into he silhouette programme. I just thought I’d let you know about this so you can warn others and save them a lot of wasted time.

Silhouette Black Cameo 4 w/ Advanced Blade Pack, 38 Oracal Sheets, Siser HTV
The star rating is not for Swing design but for the Silhouette Cameo 4. It has never worked as expected out of the box. I have gone thru umpteen sheets of vinyl trying to get reliable, repeatable results. It has never worked properly with the default settings, which one assumes is set at the factory to be the correct ones.
Today I tried cutting a design and it worked ok but didn't cut deep enough. So I increased the pressure until it did. Then I ran it again with the same design, the same vinyl etc. Damned thing cut way too deep, right through the backing.
And forget about a manual. There isn't one of any depth that addresses all the various settings and why you you may or may not change them. For example - do you change the settings in the software and then change the setting on the auto blade?
I was looking for a tool that I can plug in and use without becoming a tester for Silhouette. I have no faith in it and I feel I should have bought the Cricut Maker as originally planned.

HI Leslie, I asked out support team to reach out to assist with the blade settings. Sounds like maybe the blade depth is not set correctly for the vinyl. Make sure the blade is set to #2 depth and dial the pressure back. If you are still having issues please email us at support@swingdesign.com and we can assist you. Best, Will

Hi Kenneth, I have the team sending over some troubleshooting tips for the autoblade. Most of the time the issue is with a setting within the software. If you are still having issues please message us a support@swingdesign.com and we will be able to help further. Best, Will
