however, the elastic band in the back is scratching my skin after just 20minutes of walking. I'm therefore forced to use high socks to avoid that. this solution prevents me from entering the water with the shoes.

My first wear was pretty good! I love the way they look and the sole is comfy. Wore them on a cold Michigan day without socks and was never cold despite the mesh. I did end up cutting open my heel and bleeding all over the back of one shoe. There is a rough/sharp edge to the back just below the elastic. On the plus side the material cleaned up well with just a spot clean. Since it was a cut and not a blister I'm worried it will keep happening instead of just breaking them in the first time. Only time will tell. Can't wait to test them in water when it's warmer.

My shoe size is Euro 39 but tropicfeel runs a little tight for the same size. I like that it is lightweight but because of the tighter and smaller cutting of Euro 39 size, I get quite a bit of abrasion on my foot.

I asked myself, holding the package in my hands, why did I order these shoes. I live in Southeast Asia running a social company, I have no time to run, or money to travel. And I have my flip flops, less hassle, easier as mainly you are barefoot here anyway. My feet also don´t like to be squeezed in shoes in general anymore. But then, as soon I slipped into my tropicfeel, man, this second skin covered nearly organically my feet and as soon I stood up, and put my weight on this tropicfeel, it felt more like the weight is carrying. – I am a designer myself, of course they are not the new upgraded icarus sandals, I don't like very much the branding or the travel industry, knowing how it works, but man, these shoes!!!

Great build and quality! Thank you for the hard work. Our trust is earned. Just a few minor issues: due to the tight fit (despite the size being exact, our feet swells with prolonged walking), the bulging internal 'throatline' (where vamp meets eyelet facing) was rubbing against my foot which was uncomfortable for long walks. The flexible heel flaps at the back, despite being a good idea, tended to rub slightly on the heels, causing some discomfort. I believe that getting a size up would solve most of the problems, and probably having a taller heel flap may rectify the latter.

I love the shoe. Had to put inserts but i do that for all my shoes. The back of my right shoe hurt before the inserts but now dont rub or its worn in. Thank you because i usually hate wearing shoes they make my feet hot. These let my feet still breath!!!!!!
