still didn't try to swim in them but so far - the sneakers are amazing. love them!

Very light and breathable fabric en very comfortable! The heel fabric makes sure that you don't slip out of the shoe, however the way the heel fabric is attached to the sole of the shoe makes it fold uncomfortably sometimes.

I really like the look of these shoes and lightness. I'm a flight attendant and wanted a versatile shoe that I could work out, hike, and use for most actives that could just live in my suitcase. The first couple times I wore them (both times walked about 2ish miles) the "strap" in the back was a bit tight. That however did truly improve, so when I put them on for my third hike, I was really excited. Then I got about 3 miles in and could already tell I was forming blisters. I finished the hike and both heels had huge blisters and one had a cut from where the strap had been digging in. These were fitted correctly so I don't believe I should've sized up. There would've been too much wiggle room if I did. I'm bummed because I loved the idea of this shoe and think it works well for a lot of people. Now just feel like I'm out a decent amount of money for a product I can't use for more than short walks:( Wish everyone better luck than I had!

I took my new shoes as my only pair of shoes on a recent trip to Costa Rica. They generally live up to the expectations I had except on a few fronts:

1) the tongue of the shoe seems to easily wrinkle after putting them on. This in turn creates some hotspots on top of each foot and requires some readjustment from time to time in order to remove the wrinkle or change where the hotspot is located.

2) The removable footbed is rough on bare feet. I know it's designed to let water drain (the whole shoe works well on this front) but I found myself wanting to take them off as soon as I got to a destination or was going to be in the car for a bit. This definitely impacts them from being an all day shoe for me.

3) I'd like a version that less heel rise and the sole less "squishy". While not as flexible with water my go to shoe is Baabuk - more minimalist rise-wise and super comfortable for walking all day, hanging out, etc. Not a good option when wet though ;)

I'll continue to use these for travel but I'll probably need to bring an additional type of shoe to address some of the issues above.

They are awesome. I wish I had purchased two pairs!

The shoes look exactly how I had hoped, are light, comfortable, and have great tread on the bottom of them. I have yet to try them in extensive outdoors-environments yet since it's wintertime and I'm in need of thicker/more protective boots from the snow, but I'm looking forward to giving these a shot for more purposes soon!

They are mesh at the top layer so the air rushes in during the colder weather, but they fit with larger socks, too, so it isn't too big of a concern!

Fitting, comfortable, I’m really happy ! The only thing is, I wore them while hiking in a (light) rain, and my feet got wet? So I’m a tiny bit disappointed about that but the rest is fine.
I wore them for the first time during a whole weekend trip and it didn’t hurt my feet after a few hours, they also are super light so that’s enjoyable too.

Very comfortable sole. The inner flap digs into the back of my ankle at the beginning but eventually it is ok. I would prefer a slightly higher toe box because my toes naturally point upwards, so they poke up at the fabric — based on experience with other shoes, this will eventually cause it to wear out a hole in the fabric, but for now is ok.

The shoes are light and dry quickly as advertised, however pre-order and taking measurement without the physical shoes is a bad idea. My tropicfeel is tight on my feet and hurt. I couldn't wear it longer than 1 hour, which is a big disappointment.

Love the shoes, light and breezy and love the colourway. Unfortunately, the rubber bits around the heel give me blisters so I have to tape my heels up to prevent this - hence the 4 stars instead of 5.

The shoes are really comfy and nice, but the size seems a bit too small compared to my usual EU 45.

Great shoes good for travel

I got my shoes over a week ago and used it right away for some hardcore backyard renovation we're doing, and I was disappointed at how uncomfortable the shoes were. The label sewn into the bottom of the shoe is a very confusing choice, since it's very scratchy and uncomfortable, especially if you're supposed to wear the shoes barefoot to go in the water. Not sure why they didn't just print the logo. Yes, a printed logo will rub off over time, but at least it would be comfortable.

The inner lining of the shoes dug deeply into the back of my ankles. It's been over a week and the blisters are still healing. Every shoe needs some breaking in period, but this was pretty bad. I'm not sure if I'll ever get used to the inner lining digging into my feet like that. Moreover, the inner lining makes it so that you can't put on the shoes quickly and go, because you gotta make sure the lining isn't all folded in on itself as you slip in your feet. Kind of annoying.

I appreciate what Tropicfeel has tried to do and their transparency in everything. It's unfortunate the shoes didn't live up to my expectations. Suffice it to say, I won't be wearing these shoes again, but it was worth a shot in my search for adventure shoes.
