I like the automatic renewal feature of this service however I don’t like paying a monthly fee in between renewals. Currently I am on United Illuminating standard fee service because the other options are more expensive. Annoyed that I am still paying Utiliz a monthly fee. I don’t see how that is saving me any money.

Mostly good but I recently received an email stating that I had been signed up under a service contract that is more expensive than O&R prices, which defeats the point of this service. That’s the first time it’s happened, and I believe I’ve saved overall using the service, so three (3) stars out of five (5).

Very difficult to make contact with a person. The first year was great, then the savings plateau and any type of personal attention is gone. After six years my savings over Eversource is about $833 against a $210 cost. Half of that savings was year one when attention was given to my account. I will need to terminate soon, if I can get in touch with anyone. . .

The service that Utiliz provides is turnkey! They secure the lowest short term electricity cost available and switch me automatically. I've saved well over a thousand dollars over the past 3 years compared to the rates that Eversource charges. Why pay more than you have to! Easy money.

This was useful once and with current pricing less so. For a time it has been upside down, locking us into a rate more expensive than the standard price. So while we had a reasonable lowering of our all-in cost early on, that has been eroding.

I have had Utiliz for about 3 ½ years. In the first year I saved about $150. In the subsequent 2 ½ years I saved only an additional $150. That's before subtracting the $135 account costs. Given that my average monthly electric bill is about $200, the savings relative to my overall costs is an underwhelming 2%.
