I feel quite happy about the way things went: I logged in and I was shown quite a lot of projects, and also information about them, so that I could choose the project I felt most interested in. Then the volunteer organization got in touch with me and after a couple of days confirmed my application. Volunteer World asked me to pay a deposit to make sure the place would be available for me in the dates I had chosen. What I need now is to read properly all the information they sent me, and then get in touch directly with the volunteering organization to ask all the questions I want. Up to now nothing really felt amiss.

I was looking for a volunteering experience in Mexico and I can say that it was quite easy to look for the several associations needing volunteers there, but also to contact them & make the process to send my application to the chosen project. l think there should be a lot more associations to present on your website though! But overall, everything was great so far and I can't wait to go and start this experience! Thanks!

I send this message to share with volunteer world that we are having a great time collaborating with MIAOO Organisation as a “Local Community Development Supporter”. We almost have been for six week and we have learn a lot about the Maasai culture, as a family we fill very secure and the family host has been treating us very well, we eat very good and all the people of the organization are very nice. Also the community has been very grateful with us and we feel very safe to walk around and greet people un any place. We have been collaborating in different projects like construction for a site that is going to be a place where the organization will plan many activities, we have been working with women and children to improve their life conditions specially talking about health, education and food.
We highly recommend people to come and spend time with learning and sharing with the Maasai people of this communities, which represent one of the most important tribes in Kenya and very recognized in the whole world.
We still have more than the weeks to go here!!!
