Had a great time very hilly but the support from the people of Winchester was amazing and kept me going. Really well organised helpful and friendly staff and volunteers thank you everyone will be rebooking again next year.

Very well organised. Only practical comment besides lowering the hills is to have "time marker" signs along the start so you know roughly where to stand when you join the start. Great that the pacemakers join the start but can be difficult to work your way to them if you are 20 -30 meters away.Other than that all good. But god it was hilly!

Very hilly and tough route so don't expect a PB! Start was a bit chaotic - PA system was poor. Good atmosphere and well supported and organisers did a good job on the whole.

The Winchester Half Marathon was a fantastic experience and a great, if tricky, course. We knew it would be hilly but training hadn't quite gone to plan... The only minor complaint would be the mile markers were a bit askew, we hit 6 miles and then 10k was at more like 6.35 miles rather than 6.2 as it should have been and suddenly we were at 7 miles when we had only run just over 6.5. It all evened out by the end though and didn't really impact too much. Some lovely scenery and the best thing was all the supporters along the way. Going through Stanmore was fabulous seeing all the lovely families (plus it had some lovely downhill bits). I'm looking forward to next year now!

Excellent course, marshalls and organisation on race day: I thoroughly enjoyed the event. Some mile markers were up to half a mile out though according to my own and others' Garmin watches including at the finish line which did not quite measure the full 13.1 miles.

Our first half marathon (and first serious race) and we all had a fantastic time from start to finish. Amazing organisation and communication from the initial sign up to the end of the race.
