The event was very good in all aspects except the mile markers were so far out that they became irrelevant. It cant be too hard with garmins etc to put the mile markers out accurately. As runners we use them to measure our progress so they need to be in the right place. My mile splits ranged from 7 to 14 minutes! I'm told the 7 was at 6.5miles. That aside, a great event in a lovely town. Thank you!

My son, Martin and I loved the event. we really enjoyed the course finding it very challenging, but hugely satisfying. It was well marshalled, no danger of getting lost and plenty of water. well done. (I also really loved the pre-race communication). My only gripe would be that the guildhall was so crowded at the start. Not sure how you get around that one - give out T-shirts earlier? All in all - a very positive experience

Incredible support around a beautiful city - great marshalling and wonderful views of the countryside around down, and a nice flat finish following a much-welcome downhill. Mostly roads and metalled tracks: hard and hilly in the early stages, but gets progressively kinder!

Good race; excellent organisation. Perhaps adapt the route to avoid the initial hill? There are other routes out of Winchester that still get to lovely countryside and allow for a route back in.

Brilliant half marathon! I absolutely loved it. The hills were challenging but not as bad as I thought they were going to be. The scenery was awesome and there were lots of people along the route to cheer us along. Great organisation and I really appreciated the loos along the way. A lot of other half marathons don't have any loos so it was nice not to have to go in a field for a change!

Great experience! My first ever half marathon so I can't compare it to others. Well organised! Great support from the marshals around the course especially the 3 young ladies at the end of Sparsholt Road......you were brilliant and a real boost!!!! Bit disappointed to be placed according to "Gun time" and not "Chip time" but very pleased to have completed it in my target time. Overall, a great day which I am already thinking of repeating next year.
