Struggled with the initial set up, partly due to the self-learning curve! Customer Service were very helpful and sent concise re-set instructions. The box is working very well except that the it is not responding to the standard remote. Once manually powered up the i8 remote is brilliant.

Bought this for my son and he is extremely happy with all the movies and media he can access, would definitely recommend, one point I would point out is wifi performance is not the best and can cause buffering issues so unless the box is located close to the wifi point you may be better of buying a homeplug and connecting via an ethernet cable, I have 70mbps fiber and a draft 600 n access point and it was struggling anything more than 5 meters from wifi point, but don't let this put you off this is a great media box.

I have just received my DroidBox T8-S Plus OpenLec bought on the strength of the performance and reliability of the T8 I bought earlier this year. As I have only just got it on the 22nd Dec 2015 I haven't had a chance yet to give it a good test but initial results are very impressive. I have never used OpenLec before and I'm quite looking forward to trying it out also in the future I can slot a HDD into this box making it a true media player.

It took me a while to work out how to install the software and I didn't find it particularly intuitive. It took me about an hour to figure out what I needed to do, although I could have done this in 5 - 10 mins if I knew what I was doing.
The product is great, I'm still a newbie and am slowly getting used to using the different apps / streams, but this is well worth getting. I wish I'd got one earlier.
The delivery was great - I live overseas and got the package the following day!

Fantastic smart box, remote is average, I would recommend the VIP remote when buying, loads of movies available,Both WIFI and LAN ok for me, in just a full day of use most people should be up to speed and navigate through varies menus and so on and get the most out of this box A++++

The remote control is perfect except that it doesn't actually has the headphones jack as shown in one of the pictures and I also could not teach it to copy the original remote keys correctly using the universal remote functionality.

Although I tried to cancel this thinking it would arrive to late, as it was a Christmas gift for my son I am very glad it had been posted and arrived next day, my son says its the best present he's had. He used the customer service droidbox have, and managed too steam via dnla to other tv and grandchildrens tablets, so cant thank droidbox enough for very happy boys with their toys!
