I looked online for ever trying to find the perfect wood cut and grain. Hardwood Lumber had the best variety and dimensions with affordable pricing. I couldn't be happier with the look and feel of the wood which gives and warmth to the kitchen. I ordered 3 sample sizes first to pick out the wood which were all beautiful. I would say the only flaw was that the sample sizes took almost longer to get in than the large sizes. Everyone who sees my kitchen immediately points to the countertops and asks where they are from. I also bought them unfinished and used walnut oil for the finish.

I purchased an unfinished ash countertop to be used as the work surface of a standing desk I am making. I was concerned about purchasing a product from a company whose work I had never seen, but I am very pleased with the result. The joinery is perfect, the whole is planed and edged well, and the surfaces are ready for me to final-sand and finish.
Their packaging was simple but very effective: they used pre-made styrofoam corner and edge guards and closed-cell foam sheets for the front and back surfaces.
Also, since I live in a different part of the country, they have woods available which are not as common in my area.
Finally, they were very helpful when I called with questions.

Gorgeous product. I got the 3/4" thick, large cutting board. Other hardwood, quality cutting boards of this size are extremely expensive, and I think this one fits the bill perfectly for the price. Shame to start cutting on it as it is like a piece of art in the kitchen. Been using it for 2 weeks and the knife marks are subtle and seems like a quality product.

The 1" Ash long grain butcher block arrived well packed and looks great. I installed it atop a large dresser / bar / room divider the day it arrived. The wood is clean and the surface is flat. I went over the top and sides with 220 grit paper and gave the edges a slight softening, then applied two coats of bowling alley wax, great natural color. Thanks!
PS. Production time was long, which is ok, but it would be good to have an estimate for project planning.
