Well, let's say that we're getting used to it. Our new hickory island top is *much* darker than we had wanted and anticipated. We selected a stain color based on several color samples we ordered and received. Yes we understand that the samples are "approximate", but ours is *considerably* darker than the sample. We are more disappointed in the uniform color of the product, when we were assured by your telephone sales staff that ours would be similar to the alternating light-dark pattern shown on your website for a face grain hickory top. Ours is simply a uniformly dark brown. It is beautifully made, and fits perfectly, but it lacks the character that we wanted and expected for the money we paid.

White Oak Stair Tread
This review was sent to me for a Epoxy putty stick that was in my larger oak stair tread order. The Oak stair treads came out amazing, though I never actually got the epoxy stick when the order arrived. I forgot I even ordered it and that is was missing. The only reason I didn't give the stair treads a 5 star was that there were some imperfections (which is expected), but the putty that was used didn't match the wood, so I redid that myself. Otherwise, everything was great. I would attach before and after pictures in the review, but there is no place to attach pictures that I can see.
