We thought my daughter was going to be diagnosed with hip dysplasia, so we preemptively bought this sleep sack. She ended up not having hip dysplasia and therefore did not need the harness that this swaddle accommodates for. However, we are still able to use it just like her regular Swaddle up sacks, it is just looser in the legs.

For the first week after our son had his Pavlik put on, he would only sleep if he was being held. My husband and I would sleep in shifts, so one of us could be awake holding him so he would sleep. Hello Sharla - when transitioning to a different swaddle that changes the direction of the arms, the little ones may take longer to adjust to the different arm position. The key here is consistency, making sure you are using Swaddle UP both during nap and bed times. Depending on the baby, transitions can take up to a week or so.
