We have two of these now because it has become an every night item. Our baby loves having some room to squirm his hands around, and he feels more comforted with them up by his head, where he naturally holds them while sleeping and where he usually them in utero.
The fabric has a good stretch to it, so it fits snugly through the middle without being too restricting. He also has plenty of freedom of motion to kick his legs around.
The zipper unzips from top or bottom, so I can change him without zipping him down, but I also find that even when the top is unzipped, his hands naturally stay in the pockets and it is still mostly “on” him.
