I am a custom van builder and I have previously purchased other lowered bases from different companies. They never seem to fit or always needed some kind of modification to make them work.

THEY FIT PERFECTLY!!!!.

Overall, these deflectors are easy to install and work incredibly well at deflecting wind and rain while driving. Also helps to crack the window open while static to allow fresh air in.

However, two things to note that may cause me to remove them in the coming months:
1) They are a pretty tight fit and my window motor struggles especially in the last upper 1/4 way when putting the window back up. If the heat of summer doesn't solve this, they may need to come out as I don't want to ruin the window motor.

2) They are much darker than I anticipated which causes an obstruction when driving. The view out the side windows is already a challenge so again, we'll see how it goes but I may need an alternative if I don't get used to it.

Swivel platform made the seat position way too high. I am 6ft and could barely see out the front. Couldn't use the sun visor and the wipers didn't reach high enough to clear my line of sight. This was the solution. Exact OEM mounting holes positions. 20 minutes to swap old for new. My only gripe was the CDN$ exchange + shipping + import fees made the one seat base cost me CDN$750. But it is a really well built seat riser. Thanks!

The whole installation process was very fast. There is so much more usable space now. Had a question for tech support and was answered quickly.

This is a good quality product that is very easy to install! Rolling up the screened portion covers is very simple. You can see out through the screen from the interior quite well and yet from exterior looking in is minimal. Simple and yet very effective product. The only reason I gave it four star and not five is in my opinion it could stand a little more velcro strips and a couple small magnets below the side windows other than that, we love it.

Adds a layer of protection, and at 20 degrees tonight, we are warm as toast! Love it!

This is the second van build for me, and since the first set of lower seat base and swivel came from EuroCampers.com, I wanted to come back again. Service, price and speed of delivery were all excellent. The lower seat base was just as I remembered. But the Scopema base leaves me with mixed feelings. While the quality of materials and workmanship are excellent, the new design has a couple of flaws.

First and foremost, even though the upper plate has a new design that supposed to eliminate the need for risers, the requirement to reuse the original seat's bolts in the base means the seatbelt safety-hook still strikes the bolt when swiveling. This could easily be eliminated by counter-sinking the rear bolt holes in the base. I had to create my own risers using 1/8" (3mm) worth of washers, which is rediculous considering the cost and engineering that went into redesigning the unit.

Second and last issue is, the latch should be part of the upper swivel plate so it is not a pinch hazard when swiveling. In my first build, I used the swivel function to pull the seat around to make it easier to move from the cargo area to the driver's seat. The old swivel had the latch on the upper plate so it swung with the seat. I could use it the normal way to unlatch and swivel while seated, or use it to pull the seat around when standing in the cargo area. The new style has the latch attached to the base plate, so it is stationary. When starting to swivel, you need to move your hand out of the way or risk pinching. And starting to swivel from the back requires an awkward push with my shoulder while trying to unlatch the base. It's just not very ergonomic.

Would I ultimately suggest this swivel for the ProMaster? If quality of materials and construction were the only considerations, then yes. The Scopema is a very well built unit that should last a lifetime. But considering the design flaw and ergonomic issue, if there was another option that didn't require modification, I might try that one instead.

These wheel simulators are very well built, high quality, and clear that time was spent to ensure they were designed properly. I would recommend these to anyone looking for a well designed and well built wheel simulator for your Sprinter Van. The other brands are inferior to what you get with this product.

Don’t know why I waited so long to replace the strut. This lets me put the rock that I was using back in the garden. Took about 5 minutes to replace the existing.
