Heather Walmsley has been nothing short of excellent. My daughter, a rising senior in high school, had good grades and SAT scores, but was not very motivated to expand and really drill down into extracurriculars.
Heather brainstormed with her and helped her develop ec activities in a way that was authentic and really drew on my daughter's strengths. Heather's approach made my daughter excited to work on her activities and move them forward in a way that we think will set her apart from other college applicants. It will also help her write essays that are unique and deep. Her resume has become far more robust thanks to Heather, and she has confidence that comes from doing things in a way that she does not consider "fake" for the sake of applying to college. And, I am only tangentially involved, which makes for healthy family relationships at this somewhat stressful time! Heather has been incredibly helpful to our son. She’s always available for Zoom calls and responds to our questions promptly. She’s also very flexible—while kids don’t always follow their counselor’s advice (which can be frustrating as a parent), she remains patient and always tries to find a plan B when plan A doesn’t work for him.

Adrienne has been a wonderful counselor over the 2+ years that I have been working with her. She is very supportive and always provides great feedback and advice.
