I received this bare root paw paw tree with only one small root. Planted and waited months for it to bloom or leaf out. It never did.

Severly Misleading Advertising

I purchased six 3-gallon Musa Basjoo. I am relatively familiar with these plants, and all planting in general. I paid the premium to purchase from the nursery advertising 3 gallon plants. When received there was no way these were 3 gallon plants, all likely 8-10 inches tall. Likely quart to 2 quart. I immeditately went to a local store, who also sells musa basjo, just 1 gallon, and their 1 gallon plant was likely 3-5 times larger than the 3 gallon plants I paid premiums for. This doesn't include the plants looking like dog shi* when received (I didn't care much about that). I contacted Ty Ty Nursery and was essentially denied the ability to return these plants for the sizing issue/lie, despite being well within the return window and only one-two days after receiving. I would assume that all plants on their page are completely misleading (to use a nice term). Pictures included of the "3 gallon (lie)" plant received, and the 1 gallon plant at my local store.

The tree arrived well packaged with another fruit tree. There was a water gel solution in the root wrap to keep the roots moist. The tree was ordered 5-6' tall and had 12 small branches with leaf buds. The tree arrived in good shape and well packaged. I only have one concern, all of the major roots had been pruned back to the main root ball. I could see that 5 roots over ½" diameter were removed. I am aware that some root pruning is healthy for a tree in this situation, however it seemed a bit more pruning than I would have done given the size of the tree. I planted it as directed the day it arrived within 2 hours of delivery. So far the tree still has signs of new growth and seems healthy enough. I am watering regularly as directed. A good tree that hopefully will develope new roots quickly.

The tree arrived well packaged in a long box with another fruit tree. The roots were wrapped well with a water gel solution that kept the roots moist during shipping. There were signs of new growth on the tree, the small leaves were pale. After planting as directed and watering well the leaves have greened up and grown a bit already within the first week. So far very satisfied.
