I have made several purchases from TY TY and although the bareroot plants are scarry looking they have always done well. If you have questions, give them a call, they are very friendly and helpful.

I bought young bare roots, I felt they were well packaged, liked the damp wrappings that seemed better than more expensive nurseries, no strips of shredded paper in this packing, plants were already breaking dormancy, so I soaked them and got them in there pots, we'll see what we got next year

Phyllostachys is not American

vtest product
The description says "American Native Bamboo (Phyllostachys species)," but the only native bamboo species in America belong to the genus Arundinaria:
1. Arundinaria gigantea (River Cane)
2. Arundinaria tecta (Switch Cane)
3. Arundinaria appalachiana (Hill Cane)
4. Arundinaria alabamensis (Tallapoosa Cane)
Phyllostachys is a highly invasive Asian bamboo. I strongly urge others to avoid this falsely labeled "American Native Bamboo."
