I purchased 2 four foot Appalachian Red redbud whips from here in spring of last year, planted them in 10" pots but they didn't survive their first winter in MA. I purchased two more last month and they've arrived leafed out (expected) but stressed (wilted) from shipment. Planted them immediately and will keep them protected in the shade and irrigated. Fingers crossed I have better luck with this second purchase. They're not cheap so my investment has doubled, fingers crossed these survive. Perhaps receiving them during dormancy would have been better timing.

Very easy to order and received notifications on a regular basis to know when I would receive them

The wood and roots arrived quickly, in great condition. I planted it and look forward to seeing growth. It had transplanted well so far!

Very sturdy weed mat. High quality.

Very tiny but I used as recommended. Hoping this helps with transplant and growth.

Please be aware of this nursery!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is my experience with Ty Ty nursery. I ordered the trees for some reason they all seem to come package together with a gel substance on the inside and a paper towel. I guess to keep them moisturize as they were being shipped. Instead of individually packing by themselves. I started unraveling everything I noticed some of the trees had a little tiny pin holes, so I thought nothing of it. I planted the trees which which was a which was a big mistake. Those tiny pinholes was ambrosia beetle larva that were in the trees. I reached out to the nursery and informed them about it. They suggested that I get my soil tested. Getting my soil tested would cost more than I spent on the trees. I did inform them that none of the nine fruit trees that I have in my backyard already that have been established for years have ever had this issue. I proceeded to tell them that they sent me trees that were infected. They requested photos from me so I sent them photos and videos of the tree showing the pinholes. It looks somewhat like sawdust that’s coming out of the tree. I also show them the leaves are starting to wilt and die. They told me that their trees are high-quality and they’re resistant. I still receive trees that had an infestation they’re not helpful with assisting you. oh, they also only give you a three day timeframe to return the trees if you notice an issue. Which is kind of hard to do because the trees come dormant until you actually plant them so you won’t notice an issue until you actually start to see growth. And by that time it’ll be too late. I knew I should’ve ordered from fastgrowingtrees.com instead i’ve ordered almost all of my fruit trees from fastgrowingtrees.com and I’ve never had an issue. it was just a disappointment that they didn’t have the exact tree that I was looking for at the time. so I found this mediocre website and ordered from them. Terrible experience terrible customer service. The plants are terrible. so I pretty much spent money for nothing because those trees have to be destroyed because they’re too young to survive ambrosia beetles. lesson learned wait patiently with a place that you’re more comfortable with instead of ordering from some random nursery. as I stated, I should’ve just ordered from fastgrowingtrees.com

Avoid tytyga.com!!!!!!!!
