The plants look good but I was surprised there were no planting instructions that came with them. I’m trying to look online but would have preferred to have received specific instructions re how best to get the started.

Buy Paw Paw Trees Online at Ty Ty Nursery
My calls to TyTy with general questions have gone completely disregarded, but I was still glad to have received my trees promptly and intact. The box with my four paw paws wasn't, but the trees held up, so. . no harm, no foul there. I wasn't expecting dormant trees this late into the season, so that was a bit of a surprise (I imagine a closer read of their literature would have said so, but alas) - but I'm sure they'll snap out of it soon.
I got them into the ground immediately upon receipt, and treated them with some TLC in the form of a root stimulator. Hoping to see some signs of life any day now. Fwiw the scratch test on all 4 was just fine, so I'm not anticipating any more surprises. I think they're healthy and ready to go, despite being bare as a bone. My small grove is going to be beautiful once it's more established :)
