Big Ass Blueberry™ Plant | Grow Giant Blueberries
Of course it will be about 3 years before I can actually rate the blueberries but in the past all the small "whip" plants from Ty-Ty have thrived in my garden (while the potted ones from the big box store did not). So I anticipate this one will, too. This variety is a little more expensive but I already have 30 bushes and figured it was worth a shot for one of these.

Shipment was quick and the specimens were in acceptable shape. The rootball seemed alittle small for the 5' to 6' trees and there was a couple of roots that were broken but the cadmium layer was still green and full so it appears the trees haven't suffered from lack of moisture. Overall I'm pleased with my purchase. Planted the trees already and hoping for the best.

Nutra Pro (16-16-16) 1st Year Fertilizer Pack
Wasn't expecting such a small package but if it works so be it. Easy to use and place in the dirt especially since I didn't have to open the package. No mess.

Transplant Mix
Wasn't sure about opening the packet but I did and spread it out on the dirt just before the rootball went into the ground. There wasn't very much to spread as the packet isn't very big but hopefully it will help the roots develop and reduce the stress on the tree from being transplanted.

The primary roots were cut to about 3" in length. The tree height is 6'-7' and I'm guessing (because all I know about trees is green side up) is that the roots were cut short in order to fit inside the shipping box. The above ground portion of the tree looks really good; however, I'm concerned about the tree's ability to survive. Only time will tell.

This is the first time I've ordered anything and know these trees can be tricky to grow, so, I can't say much about them at this point. I will say that they look like they arrived in good health and were shipped with great care so they remained stable and hydrated. I do think there could have been quite a bit less tape used on the tree packaging itself as it was hard to separate from the root ball bag. Overall I'm pleased and will order again if these do well! I appreciated the delivery notice by email so that I could have the area prepped for them (great idea!). They've been in the ground since the day they arrived.

I received the tree in good condition, with very thorough planting instructions. I have followed them to the letter, and have already watered the tree on six straight days. The sourwood tree has the reputation of being very difficult to transplant. I have a feeling it will flourish in the spring 0f 2022. This tree is thought to be one of the most beautiful small native trees in the USA.
