Love it! We used it with our pullets and they took to it right away! We did have to remove one of the curtains after the first few days to get them to used it to lay in. It is great to have clean eggs. Just make me so happy!

In building a new larger chicken coop we wanted to find the best way for our chickens to nest and lay. We came across the best meat box and really liked the idea of it so we went for it and it has been amazing. It looks nice and it’s built well. I see us having this neat box for years and years!

I think it is wonderfully made and the design is awesome but my chickens won’t go in it. Still laying in the corner of the coop. Hopefully my new, younger ones will use it when they start laying.

I love the box but my chicken won’t go in there. Any hints?

It’s awesome I wish I could afford to buy a couple more. My hens took to it immediately and (knock on wood) there have been no more eaten eggs. I previously bought a nesting box from another company but the rollaway part was too shallow and the hens quickly learned to work their eggs back up into the nest where they could eat them... I watched them try to get their heads in there but they can’t even get close.

This is my second medium nest box. I really love the design, construction, and convenience of it. My only "issue" is that I think it's overly optimistic to say the medium size can accommodate up to 20 hens. I have a dozen and routinely have two birds in there at a time, with others waiting and some laying on the floor. Once in a blue moon I have seen three birds packed in. Add an occasionally broody bird into the mix, and you have a more serious problem with eggs on the floor and getting pecked (unless you decide to go nuclear to break the bird in a cage or something) due to lack of space. So, I ordered a second medium box to go right on top of the first. That seems to alleviate things. Everybody's flock is different, so your mileage may vary.

So far we love the nesting box. Our girls are still getting used to using it, but have most of them there. Was fairly easy to build. I had originally built for rear pickup and decided to switch it around and only took 15 minutes to do so. Thanks for a great product!

Easy to install and looks great!

Pretty straight forward. Nice all the hardware is the same size. Everything lined up nicely. Instruction were good. When the chickens come and grow into it will be the true test. Came in one box with no damage.

It took 2 of us 30 minutes to assemble and the box came dented on the corner. I am going to assume it happened in shipping. It was repairable (not perfect) so we didn't bother following up on a claim. But overall, it's a very nice nest box. Our chickens are a month away from laying so we have yet to see it in action.

Very happy with the nesting box. Although the hens are still too young to be laying, I'm sure this will see plenty of use. Nothing about it seemed like cheaper materials were used and feel confident it will last us for many years. Plus, we were happy to be able to support an Ohio business!

I think it’s well made but my chickens who eat their eggs haven’t taken to it I have tried putting it in the hay area they we’re laying food too fake eggs so far there’s are not convinced it’s worth their time Maybe be my new chicks will get it

I love the boxes I ordered. My chickens love them and I might even order a couple more by next year once I expand my operation. I'm trying to get some free feed through local restaurants, so once I do, then I'll double the size of my flock.

It only took a week to get the hens to accept this new nestbox setup. Very pleased as now I don't have dirty eggs to wash.

It arrived well packaged and was easily put together, even when reversing the roll out orientation. My greens will be laying in a few weeks and I can’t wait! No more using cat litter boxes that don’t last and are getting harder to find. This thing is built to last! I hope to get it in the barn I am remodeling soon.

It is quite rare these days to find a product with such high quality engineering and manufacturing. This makes assembly a breeze without putting your digits at risk. I am planning to add more units as my flock grows.

I love my Nest Box. This is my second one, as I increased my flock size. I love the fact that the eggs are clean and unbroken. When it's muddy out the eggs in the regular nest boxes are streaked with mud. No problem with these. My girls also don't have a chance to step on the eggs or peck them!

Really nice nestbox, very easy to assemble, didn’t take 40 minutes. Good construction, I added a pad to the bottom of the ramp for the eggs to bump into but otherwise excellent. I would highly recommend it to others.

I'm an engineer and the most frustrating thing is to get instructions with poor images that lacked detail information, obviously the manufacturer never watched someone assemble their product. Your product, documentation, quality, everything was well thought out and I have to say that you have mastered this box and its absolutely worth every penny spent! I purchased a smaller box a year and a half ago and I found that some of the chickens pecked at the sitting hen hoping to speed the process up and were impatient, so I upgraded the box to the large box... I have 8 chickens and could have easily gotten away with the medium box but I know this is a sound investment and will be great for the future as I expand. Thanks!!! Jeff

Well built worth the money’s

Assembly was a breeze. Great quality. Would recommend.

Overall very impressed, it was between this and HenGear, I think I make the right choice. My decision was based on how the bottom part was made. HenGear looks like it is 2 pieces, while BNB is only one. I will take 1 solid piece any day. Pretty easy to put together, installation was not hard either. Would have been nice if they added a cutout size for the coop wall for a reverse install. I had to make a few cuts to get it right. Perhaps its an issue to give sizes because it depends on the thickness of the wall of your coop. I would purchase another from them, but i think this box will last just about forever. My birds are not laying yet, so we will see if they like it. Everything lined up great, and there were no sharp edges. The nesting box is heavy, but not unwieldy. It doesn't feel cheap, it looks and feels like it would be perfectly fine in a large scale farm.

Love it! Best nest box on the market in my opinion. Chickens love it as well! I took out the old nest box and they took to the new one right away,and the eggs are so clean! Would highly recommend!

I was suffering from a large amount of broken eggs, because of hen pecking, with traditional boxes. So I decided to buy one these great boxes. I was surprised at how easily my hens took to this box. I first installed it and left it for a few days for them to explore. Then I blocked off the existing nest boxes and wow most of the eggs were laid in this great box. Less broken eggs. I am very happy. Thank You Best Nest Boxes.

Clean eggs and our girls love it and easy to mount and clean. Galvanized steel and made in the USA. Easy to put together. Just a few min with a box end wrench and a cordless screw gun. This and an auto door means more fun time with chickens!

love em, seem to work good but if you have a mobile coop you have to pay attention to where you park it cause the eggs wont roll out otherwise :-)

Best nest ever.

I. Love. This. Box! It only took 2 days to get the chickens to use it...it took a little bribery (along the foot rest) and removing one of the red curtains (so the chickens could see what’s inside). For the first time in 4 years, I don’t have to worry about broken eggs, all the eggs are so clean and I only need to check once a day for eggs. I found the instructions to assemble the box easy to read and follow and would highly recommend this product to anyone looking to make their life easier.

Went together very easy, even had a handful extra nuts and bolts. This is a really good idea. It makes egg gathering so much cleaner and easier.

We are new chicken keepers and are chicks are not old enough to use it yet, but we are very happy with the quality, the speed in which it arrived and how easy it was to put together in the reversed configuration. We have the roost bar in the up position and it has kept the girls from going into the nest box and roosting and pooping in there. As you can see from my picture we were able to build it into the coop with just the collection box sticking out. One note for the company would be to have exact size specs in a drawing format ? PDF on the website. The website had approximate dimensions but we were very happy we waited to get the box before we built it in, as the dimensions were not exact.

I’m sorry I can not write a review yet. The Best Nest Box still has not arrived. UPS has had it sitting in a local warehouser the past week. Perhaps you should consider a more reliable shipper. We get other packages shipped in a timely fashion but UPS seems very slow and unreliable.

Love it, everything I expected it to be. Quality and easy to setup and install. New to raising Chickens and everything I reviewed about Best Nest from experienced farmers made me realize how valuable of an investment it was. I retro fitted it into a store bought chicken coop and it works perfectly. I like the fact that my granddaughter can collect eggs very easily. I am in a colder climate so I may try to insulate under the egg catcher since it is outside the coop to keep the cold out but just a simple piece of wood or foam board I can remove in spring. I expected to be very happy with clean eggs for years to come. Thank you

We are having a hard time convincing our hens to use it. I think it's a great idea or I would not have purchased it. Any helpful hints, short of spending all day in the coop trying to stuff them in?

Great product that is well made. We are very happy that the roll away is reversible. We have it mounted flush the the inside of the coop and are able to collect eggs from the outside. Great product.

this box is great. eggs are lot cleaner. we are training the hens to use it and one thing we did was to take magnets and get the red curtains out of the way. our old boxes that we were using did not have anything in the front. since then the hens are using it more. no issues with the eggs coming down even when at the first we put a little of the bedding material in the box.

The Best Nest rollaway nest box is nice, but the instructions suck. Horrible, sparse, and confusing for a first-timer. If I were assembling multiple units, the assembly is a breeze, once you get the hang of it. But, the initial assembly was challenging.

Easy to clean, collect, flexible roll direction. We run 80 hens, have 5 of the large ones. Highly recommend.

I LOVE this nest box. I cannot stress enough how much I love it. We have had it for almost 3 months now. Delivery was expedient and it was easy to assemble. My girls got used to it very quickly. We taped up a couple of flaps as I saw some other reviewers had suggested to do. I placed it on a hay bale for about a week since their old boxes were lower and I planned to hang it higher. Make sure your bale is level if you try this or your eggs get stuck and don't roll well. We hung it up and they had no problems. I still have a few of my girls that like to lay on the floor. I have 44 hens of various breeds and the silkies seem to be the culprits. My eggs are clean, they are not getting snacked on by my sneaky egg eaters, and the snakes cannot hide under this like they did the old dresser we were using as a nestbox before. The girls cannot roost on the slanted top, so no more having to scrape poo off the top of the nestboxes. The roll away feature discourages broodiness and I have some heritage breeds and bantam hens that are serious about going broody. I have had less problems with that since getting this box. I will probably need to order a second box eventually. I would highly recommend this nestbox to anyone who wants to make their chicken keeping easier and cleaner.

The girls could sometimes reach tip of egg to poke a hole in it. We lifted the front of nest box with a brick. Training them to new nest a bit of struggle but your list of ideas was helpful. Lots of sticks and bricks in previous nest location and chasing. Should have made a video. But now 2 intact eggs per day have become 6! Thank you!

The box was easy to put together and very sturdy. When my chicks get old enough I am sure it will work great.

This is our 3rd Reversible Nest Box,we noticed the hens were laying a few on the floor and with the summer heat we added to our production area. We are in our 70's and raise 60 chickens to supplement our retirement income. The nest boxes save SO MANY HOURS of cleaning eggs as well as having more eggs to collect with no damage or eggs eaten. As eggs are not washed of the protective coating they also stay fresher longer. The quality of the nest box and design are super. Hope this finds you well. ~Dianna B

I love the nest box, my hens would climb on top of each other, breaking eggs, some of the old girls still have to learn where to lay eggs, so I do still go on the egg hunt. It is so nice to raise the lid and collect the eggs.

It's Great wish I'd had one years ago

Great design and construction, easy to assemble. My only issue is that I wish the opening was taller. My few average sized hens took to this very quickly with no issue. Unfortunately the majority of my hens are far above average size, and the largest still haven't come around to the new box yet. I've spent some time observing them and can see why: when they stand on the perch, the top of the opening is below back level for them. The few times I've seen them get in and out have been very clunky and awkward; it's no surprise that they'd rather just lay on the ground somewhere instead of trying to navigate this. I'm hoping they adjust to it eventually (it's been a couple weeks) and if they do, then I plan on using these in all my coops.

Best thing ever I have tried everything in the book to get the chicken to stop eating eggs failed. I bought a large box installed it in my coop where my all nest was it took them like a day or two to get used to eat, I have 16 chicken I am collecting 15 to 16 eggs every day very easy to assemble.
