I love this nest box! The product was shipped promptly, and very well packaged with no dents or dings. It was easy to put together and is very sturdy. I like the feature of closing the perch at night so the chickens won't roost on it. I pull it down when I turn them out in the morning. This keeps the nest clean for eggs. The roll out feature works perfectly. This is a great product.

This box is amazing. It was packaged well, arrived with no damage. Easily put together. It is well made and sturdy. Eggs roll gently and remain clean. I was having a major egg eating problem. This box has solved my problem, I tried many other solutions without success til now!

This thing is real steel. Not the cheap China recycled Steel. This box will out last me. I really like the reversible flexibility. Recommend this nest box for anyone setting up hens for laying.

Making it level is incredibly essential. My hubby thought it was but just the slightest deviation led to cracked eggs. Since the adjustment seems to have resolved the issue. Thank you!

Received the medium nest box I ordered in a timely manner. Assembly was very quick and instructions are very well written with options for both front and rear egg collection. Very high quality build with all holes aligning for the bolts. Appreciate the extra few nuts and bolts as I always seem to lose things during assembly. Installed on my custom mobile chicken coop - would love to share photos!

I have bought 2 large nesting box and now I have already ordered other two! They work great. In my case the only downside is that the shipping cost are really high, it cost me more than the nesting box. But I didn’t found another nesting box like this one (rollaway and reversible) in my country. The first day it was a caos because I decided to remove the older nest box in the morning and add the new one, so the hens wanted to lay her eggs. At first they didn’t find the nest because they were used to jump on a perch and go inside a hole, without seeing the nesting box, so they were jumping on the new nesting box. After a week almost all hens were used to the new setup.

We installed it on the chicken tractor we are building with the collection on the outside. We installed 3/16" plexiglass on the bottom of the collection tray to prevent snakes from eating the eggs. We are looking forward to collecting eggs from this roll away Best Nesting Box!

It takes some time to train your birds to accept the new box. I'm sure they will use it completely at some time. Once they do it will be great.

I like it but didn't get to use it, a skunk killed my chickens. Next year i will start over.

Great product! It went together well. I had been having trouble with egg breakage and though it took about 2 weeks for the hens to use it consistently, there has been no broken eggs since then.

Our eggs have never been so clean! So happy with our nesting box just wish I would have purchased sooner!

Am very pleased with the Large Reversible Rollaway Nest Boxes. Purchased 2 boxes about 1 year ago and recently added 2 more. The component parts are strong, of high quality and precision cut. All screws, nuts and other hardware is included plus extra pieces in case you lose one. The red curtains are very durable. Once put together, the unit is very sturdy. The hens have taken to the community style box and it is a pleasure to open the trap tray to collect eggs and find them clean and unbroken. The hens have adapted to the mat inside the unit which gives them the feel of a nesting area and also helps to keep the eggs clean. It is important to keep the mats clean. I put zip ties on both corners of the mat as that helps to get them out of the unit and then I use those loops to hang the mats on the fence and spray them clean with the hose. These mats seem to hold a lot of water, so when done spraying, I shake them against the fence. Since they take a while to dry especially in cold weather, I bought an extra pad for each box. So when I take one out to clean, I replace it with the extra one and don't have to worry about getting the soiled pad clean and dry for the next lay. The company is very generous with their time in answering questions. Because of the quality of materials used, I expect my boxes and my investment in them to last a long time. I hope to buy more boxes as my flock grows. Sharon

The box arrived as promised and was easy to put together but the girls are not using it yet. I'm currently trying the suggested methods to get them to use it and will update when they start using it.

After a short period our hens picked right up laying in the boxes. They are no longer crowding each other as they were in the old 10 hole boxes. Our eggs are much cleaner and no more pecked or broken eggs. Very happy with our purchase!

It was a project putting it in. I cut a whole in the side of the hen house and fit the unit in just fine. It’s anchored with two screws, which is plenty. The instructions to get the hens to use the nest box were helpful and worked. Now the eggs roll out easily. It works!

Best nesting box we have had. We had purchased other roll away nesting boxes with the plastic inserts and that design has flaws and the inserts break. This one is high quality! Best one out there!

We got the nesting box on time and it is a hassle free box ... I say the best built chicken boxes i have ever seen....

Solid product. Finally assembly was challenging, never did get the last bolt to fit, unclear what pieces went over or under others. Now if more than one bird will give it a try it will be gpod.

It took a couple days for the hens to get up in the box to lay eggs..took less than an hour to put together...eggs are clean when i gather each day..i love love this nesting box...i highly recommend...i bought 1 large box for 48 hens...thank you for your design!!!!

So far I’ve only got one hen to use it BUT when that one hen uses it it works perfectly, I wish it was designed to connect to the outside of the hen house, had the sloop Opposite. If you think a double is all you need I recommend getting a triple. Thanks

Easy to put together and install. Absolutely love the design and results...clean eggs, clean nest boxes. No more sleeping in the boxes thanks to the bar that raises up to “close up” the nest at night. The mat washes off easily and no more bedding mess! SO HAPPY with it!

Our chickens don't want to go inside at all. They lay more eggs on either side and are using it as a privacy area to lat more eggs. This is not what the Best Nest is supposed to do though.

Because of National unrest. We decided to add chickens to our farm. The small box came in plenty of time and talk about a great packing job! I started to put it together today because I need dimensions, so I can incorporate it into the coop I am building. Well thought out design. Good use of either stainless steel or galvanized metal. Shouldn't have any troubles getting chicks to use it since they are brand new. 5 Gold Laced Wyandottes and 5 New Hampshire Reds. GLW are very calm while the NHR are more skittish. This product is worth the money. Buy it instead of building wooden nest boxes and then spending more money later. Start right with this nest box. Save your money in other places. A great experience all the way around. With a flock of 600, I went with 10 boxes. Tammy helped expedite my.order after a negative experience with a competitor and its substandard nest boxes. They arrived a week early. They saved me money by going with the longer assembly time (the "40-minute box takes maybe 25). My hens immediately hopped in. Just add a little bedding to the mats They're clean and professional. And one of the best purchases I've made for my farm. I highly recommend, and will definitely be buying more.

Awesome nest boxes I think the numbers might be a little high as far as how many chickens they serve I’d say each one can accommodate 30 chickens give or take. That being said they are the best nesting boxes I’ve ever had and I think I’ve tried them all. To start the instructions they come with make it incredibly easy to assemble, after that the maintenance and care is almost nothing except for giving them good scrub every month or so and keeping the nest pads clean definitely get the extra one.

The nest boxes are working out great, I have them incorporated into my hoop house I move daily on pasture. I have 20 hens per hoop house.

Love the box. Just had to put a few of my hens in the box at first but they got the idea quickly and seem to like it. Plus the eggs are super clean and I don't have to check the nesting box multiple times a day to collect eggs.

Worked out great. Easy to assemble and install. I set mine up where the eggs roll out the back so you don't have to enter the coop to retrieve the eggs. My girls took to it on the first day! Wished I would have went to this style years ago.

Overall I’m very pleased with this nest box. It took almost an hour to assemble because of damage during shipping. It’s really a shame that no one can come up with a better way to package it where UPS doesn’t kink and bend it up by dropping, and throwing It during shipping. One suggestion is to straighten everything before you assemble so the holes align properly. I’m well pleased with nest box just disappointed with the inadequate packaging.

It’s a great box and is easy to put together. The instructions are very explicit and everything fit perfectly. All the holes lined up. The chickens took right to it, the eggs come out clean. I had some egg eaters, and it put a stop to them. It’s a great box!

Great product out of the box. Assembly easy enough. Just take time and don't worry about the 40 minute time. Directions are easy to follow. Pullets wont be laying for another 2 weeks, but the box will work fine and is extremely well built. Will recommend to any chicken hobbiest.

I am normally skeptical when I purchase something I have not physically seen or touched, I am certainly glad we did. This nest is an excellent product, the way it is designed and the precision in the way it was made shows the quality of it; the nest is more than what I expected. The ease of putting it together amazed me. I found the directions to be very well done. Initially I did not find in the directions where it mentions turning the mounting tab out prior to assembly, however, it is there, other than missing that item, the directions were precise, easy to understand, and helpful (they are even in color, not black and white). I will say since we missed that portion, and rather that take it back apart my sweet wife came up with a design that worked really well for us. (A 2” hinge that bolted in place with existing hole and slightly longer bolt.) I would highly recommend this nest to anyone interested in fresh eggs and raising chicken. I will be purchasing more nests, and it will be this one, my flock of hens are at 60 and will continue to grow.

I ordered two of the large nesting boxes they arrived very well packed and excellent quality. It took one day for my hens to adjust to the new boxes but after that all 36 of them are using the rollaway nest boxes. I am very pleased with how these boxes work after a week and a half of use so far I have no broken eggs and all of them are clean as a whistle. Thank you for an excellent easy access nesting box.

So far we love this little beast. It arrived quickly and in good shape. We put it together in the ‘rear collection’ mode in about 15 minutes. It’s sturdy, well made, and passed our rollout test. Our only concern is that chickens like to lay in dark spots and this lets light in from behind the nest. We installed black plastic under the collection box, and the problem is solved!

I read the reviews and was pleasantly surprised that they were so very correct. My hens were all eating eggs. We tried a lot of things and this was going to be the last attempt before we culled the flock and started over again. We installed it a week ago and immediately, no eggs were broken or eaten. It took a few days for all of the hens to lay in the new box but it seemed that even just the presence of a new box kept them from eating them initially. Now, a week later, they are all laying in the box and all eggs are clean as can be. Very satisfied and we will eventually buy another one in the fall as we add to our flock. Great design, very easy to put together and install.

We love the BEST NEST BOX and so do our chickens. Took them a bit to get use to it but they are laying like champs in the box and they don't eat the eggs. We are thinking about getting another to increase our productivity. HIGHLY recommend this.

I was very impressed when I received the package. It was well packed. Came quickly and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the product. Putting it together was very easy. Directions were clear and had no hiccups. The chickens are liking it. So glad to see my biggest problem solved. I was afraid I was going to have to get new chickens as they have been eating the eggs. This was a relief as I didn't want to have to start over as they are my pets as well. I also appreciated the helpful hints on the site. They came in very useful! I am enjoying this so much I have ordered another nest box.

This nesting box was easy to put together. I finally had a chicken lay an egg yesterday after almost a week of training. It worked great. Nice clean egg. I have 6 different groups of chickens and will be replacing all the nesting boxes to this.

Assembly was straightforward. The box is sturdy and well constructed. Our chickens adapted in two days with the help of a little hay, which was in their prior egg boxes. Boxes went together super easy. I appreciate that there was only one 'right' way to put it together and the instructions were very clear with pictures so I didn't spend time taking things apart because I put a panel in the wrong way. They could teach Ikea a lot on good instructions. We put this up in the new chicken tractor where the hens aren't laying yet but they seem to like to roost on it

I love this nesting box. I keep the middle flap up so my girla go in other wise they lay the eggs on the floor. I just figure they like a little more light! Very well made, reasonably price. Would purchase again.

It is working out, so far. Our egg count is down by nearly half....but we expect the obstinate girls will come around and start laying again. We have found that a few preferred the ground...but no one has laid in the yard this week.

well built, keeps eggs clean

I bought one a mth ago...and now I bought 3 more enough said !!!

We bought this for 12 chickens. It works well, is sturdy, and seems like it will last a really long time. It was also really easy to assemble. Here are a few minor suggested changes (that would have made it a 5-star rating): 1. It would be nice if the rings for securing the nesting box to a vertical surface could be used either in the front or in the back. We would have liked to have the entry to the nesting box flush with the inside wall of the coop and have the back of the box (and the collection tray) sticking accessible on the outside of the coop (e.g., we would have liked to build it into a hole in the wall). However, the design only allows for a back-of-the-nesting-box attachment, so we opted to move it out of the coop (we didn't want them pooping all over the top of it from above). 2. The metal grating on the bottom of the collection box meant that a few of our eggs cracked on the way down, so we added a felt liner. A redesign with rubber- or plastic-coated grating would make that extra step unnecessary. Regardless, it solved our problem of egg-eating, since the ladies can no longer access the eggs after laying!

The product arrived well packaged and without damage. A few times the instructions were confusing but the included images helped to make sense. After assembling and hanging in the coop, the flock took a couple days to get antiquated before they started to use this nesting box instead of the floor. I did tape up 2 flaps and placed a couple of the ladies in the nesting box each day so they would get the hang of, getting in there. All assembled and hung, this nesting box is sturdy and I can see it lasting a lifetime, well my lifetime, not the ladies...

So far I've only ordered the remnant nest pads to test them out. I'm going to check this out and I'm building my own nest boxes. If my nest box doesn't work the way that I hope, I will be ordering the nesting boxes that look great however the way my chicken coup was set up, they were not ideal for me at this time. But I do think they look great and would work for others and possibly me in the future.

Looking forward to using best nest in a chick tractor I am building.

I really like this nesting box. Before I had seen these I had ordered another brand and was not impressed. So I ordered one of these and the quality is second to none I’m really impressed with it. My girls are to young to use it yet but I’m betting they will like it as much as I do .

Way over priced, but I got what I wanted. Have to see if it holds together.

Did not take anywhere near 40 minutes to put together. Me and the wife got it installed and out girls love it! Definitely reccomend. The price is comparable to what time materials and tools would cost you to make it yourself out of wood but the quality is top notch.
