Love it!

I was so impressed by my first one, I got a second one! They are awesome. I used the configuration where the egg box is outside the pen, so all I have to do is collect the eggs from outside the pen. It works perfectly!

good quality, not too hard to assemble, ,I did ordered two of them and later two of the 24" which I put them next to each other but the small ones are higher than the large ones which I had to re frame my opining to be able to fit them, the price for the small ones which are half the size of the large one is too high almost like the large ones.

Absolutely love it! So easy to assemble and shipped wonderfully! Can’t wait to get our girls in it.

Great product, exactly as advertised

Our nesting box arrived on time and securely packaged. My 9 year old daughter and I assembled it together in under a half hour. Very happy with the quality of the product. I can already tell this is a box that will last for many years in our coop. I highly recommend this nesting box!

40 Minutes seemed to be an overestimate of the time required to put it together. It works well and the idea behind it is fantastic.

I had a hard time spending this much on a nest box for my little backyard flock... but I’m glad I went with my gut and bought it. No broken eggs or mess. It was easy to assemble and easy to take the mat out and clean when needed. I have larger hens, Bielefelders, and they have no problems getting in and out. They did give it the stink eye for a few days and I stuck one piece of the curtain to the inside or the roof with a magnet and now they go in and out without issue.

We removed our old nesting boxes and placed the medium nest box in since we had hens just starting to lay and the next day we found an egg in the box. Since then every egg has been clean and no broken eggs!

Took a little time to get the chickens used to laying in box. But now it’s clockwork. We had one hen eartng the eggs. This box made it so we didn’t have to off her Easily assembled as well.

As much as I want to love this product, our girls just won’t use this big, expensive contraption. We were looking for a way to keep our eggs safe from our LGD puppy who has decided they are her new favorite treats and we thought this would be perfect in doing so. Unfortunately, the girls prefer to lay everywhere BUT in this thing. The compost bin, the goats compacted alfalfa, or their very favorite- RIGHT outside the door flaps to the besting box.

Ever since we set it up a month ago, there hasn't been a single egg in them. They lay eggs everywhere except there.

Well built. Easy assembly. Hope to post a video soon of the hens using it once they are old enough to lay.

Best Nest Box Ever! Colony nesting is where it’s at, and these are so reasonably priced compared to single hole nests that are heavier and do not perform as well.

I bought this and put it in with my 8 week old chicks. I could occasionally see feathers on it so I knew someone was going in. They started laying a few weeks ago. The first few days, there were some eggs in the box and some in their pen under another box they roost on and under. With a few days, all the eggs have been in the best nest box. I'm a dog trainer, and was prepared to do some training, but this worked like magic. It must appeal to their natural instincts because we did literally nothing and they trained themselves. I am so happy with this purchase- every egg has been clean and unbroken!

I bought the PerchPopper with my order of the Medium Perfect Nest Box because I had a constant problem of chickens sneaking into the nest box at night and leaving a mess to clean in the morning. It mostly happens when they start molting, and they get bullied by other chickens. The nest box becomes their go-to hiding spot. Every sundown, I had to remind myself to barricade my conventional nest boxes. Since I installed the PerchPopper, I don't have to think about it anymore. When I collect the now always clean and unbroken eggs in the late afternoon, I raise the perch with a string. I programmed the PerchPopper to automatically lower the perch back down at around midnight (far after all the chickens are settled in for the night). In the morning, the chickens have instant access to the nest boxes and go about their laying business. I can recommend this product. At first, I wished it would also raise the bar automatically. Still, now that I'm using it, I realize it's not a big deal to lift it manually when I collect the eggs. Since the Perfect Nest Box prevents the eggs from getting pecked at, I can also wait until the end of the day with gathering them.

This is my second one. I love it especially since the people are so willing to help you get your birds to use them. I highly recommend them. So easy to open the lid and collect the eggs. It is a great vending machine LOL

Wonderful design and very easy to assemble.

I installed perchpoppers on the two best nest boxes I have. The installation was easy and they have been working for about one week now. The quality of design and materials is quite good! No more rushing out in the morning to make sure the perch bars are down so the hens have access for laying!

I love it. It took a while for my old girls to take to it form their old setup but now I'm getting clean eggs everyday. When it's time to expand my operation I will be looking to get another one.

Haven’t used it yet but it was really easy to set up. Only a few nuts and bolts to Tighten. Feels sturdy for what I’m going to using it for. Now just need my chicks to grow up and start laying!!! It’s inside the coop so they won’t be strangers to it and I put them inside so they can start learning where to lay.

Within one hour of installation, one hen crawled in it and laid. Another one started using it a couple of days later. Other three not using it because they are molting. Very nice nest and does what it was designed to do. But when assembling, do as the instructions suggest and do not tighten the bolts and nuts until finished, especially the ends and top!

Game changer in egg collecting. I have clean eggs now, even when it rains and the run gets muddy! They’re easy to collect from outside the coop, and my hens love it! My only complaint is I wish I’d bought one sooner! So many hours of my life wasted looking for hidden nests, cleaning out best boxes and replacing hay, and then washing eggs. Never again with this next box!

Your nest box was a great help to me. I had a couple hens that had started pecking eggs. They had not started eating them but I figured that would be the next step. After I put your box up it took a week or so for them to be comfortable in it. I did put some shredded paper in the box for a short time to get them used to the mat, but that was all it took. I still have one hen that lays on the ground at times but that may just be a timing issue. My eggs are clean now and no one is cracking them.

This is a GREAT product! Follow the included instructions and assembly is quite simple, but as the instructions say, do not tighten the nuts and bolts until everything is put together, especially the sides and top. About an hour after our hens were allowed access to their new coop, one of our Saphire Gems had jumped up into the new next box and laid an egg. We did put the curtains up with magnets for the time being..

The website recommends the medium size for up to 20 birds. I have 17 and only two will lay their eggs in the box. Wuold send the product back but the shipping is almost as much as the cost to purchase.

Hens dont like the box...have tried all sorts of things to correct to no avail. Easy to construct and hang...but not getting the performance we hoped.

Works fine, but chickens don’t use it. Any tips? Update: BestNestBox reached out to me and provided a contact number. Was able to get a real person on the phone, on a Saturday, and she walked me through several helpful tips. My chickens were using the box within MINUTES of me making these coop adjustments. It didn't take long for my hens to find the nest box and begin laying there--only a day or two. It helped when I taped up one side of the flap for a few days until they got used to it. The eggs are so much cleaner now, and I've only found two eggs eaten (they didn't roll all the way out for whatever reason) but that seems to be a thing of the past. Hallelujah! I would definitely recommend them to anyone especially if they have egg eaters in their bunch.

Good quality materials I think this will last a lifetime. Assembly was a nice project for my son. He took 3 hours and it was his first time using a wrench. It would have taken me 40 minutes or less, so the description is honest.

Hi yes thank you. It took about 1-2 weeks for my hens to take to the Best Nest Box but it has been extremely helpful and helps save time. Initially it was worrisome and they were nesting in the grass. But then I enclosed them in their hen house for a week and that seem to do the trick. Congratulations on a stellar product and I look forward in purchasing more in the future for my flock at my ranch.

I just assembled the nest box on 9/5 and today one hen started cackling and I knew she had found the box. I put the fine pine shavings from tractor supply and they fall right thru the holes without clogging the egg tray. Makes life easier. Thank you!

I searched everywhere for the perfect nest box until I found theBestNestBox. I put it together myself and my husband installed it inside the coop. I reversed it so that the egg tray is outside the coop, which takes up a third of my garden shed. It is designed and constructed well, and in The USA, a plus! My hens are not laying yet, so I keep the “roost” if the box closed. The medium should be perfect for my flock of 12 hens. We look for the first eggs in October.

Our hens took to the box within 2 days. The clean eggs and sturdy design make this an amazing value!

The first day was a no go for our hens, i went back and read instructions. We flipped our mat and added the same bedding we were using(cedar shavings). Put in the fake eggs and the next day they were laying in the new box..We put our spare mat on the floor so they could walk on and get accustomed to it. After 2 days, we flipped the mat( grassy side up..unblocked the tray and removed any cedar shavings. They have been laying in it from that day on. Clean eggs everyday. This thing is fantastic. We may purchase another for the next hen house.

It is well worth the expense and my chickens love it and it stays surprisingly clean.

We were having difficulty with some egg eaters, not only was it frustrating, but the other eggs were covered in yolk. Since we installed it, not one egg has been eaten and no ore egg yolk on the others. We should have purchased it along time ago. Thank you. PS easy to install, too.

I love it, clean eggs

This was much easier to put together than a similar product from a different company. The directions were clear, and the quality of the product is very good. My hens have just started laying, but they are laying in the wooden nest box in their coop. I'm hoping they will start using this one soon. I recommend this nest box.

The only pace I could see for improvement would be in mounting it when the box is reversed. If installed in coop with a wall it is very hard to position it so that the egg door can still open as well as there not being enough of a setback to take in account the depth of siding. At least having some cut out dimensions would help. Overall it is a very we made box and I really love it. The chickens have taken to it with minimal effort.

Our Best Nest Box arrived quickly and was easy to assemble. It was quite a while after receiving it and putting it together before we actually put it in the chicken coop but once it was put in there was one hen laying inside it within a couple days and the other hens began laying in it within a couple weeks. We only have five hens and I got the small nest..I may want to get a second one so they don’t need to wait for a turn to lay. This is just what we needed for our hens who had started eating their eggs!

I love this nesting box! I have not introduced it to my birds yet, but I have no doubt they will like this. My husband said my birds are spoiled because I had just purchased them a condominium. I had no trouble putting the nesting box together on my own and I normally have a lot of trouble with assembling products. The instructions were easy to understand, the assembly was simple and the box looks amazing! I cannot wait to put this to use.

Installation was a breeze...my little pullers just treated me to my first eggs yesterday! I had to get them used to it first, and the tip about pinning the curtain back for a stretch did the trick. Now I have to figure out how to get some heat in egg tray as winter approaches....

So much better than traditional nesting box....have 50 hens and life is easy now....clean eggs less broody and no more eating eggs

Fantastic product easy to assemble just waiting on my hens to mature a bit more and I'm sure they will love laying eggs in this. Also the spare parts that came with this was a nice touch. I will be purchasing more as my flock grows.

Very happy with the design and built quality. I was able to retrofit the box inside the existing exterior nest boxes, allowing me to have external access to the eggs while keeping everything predator-proof. I also bought the automatic PerchPopper (which btw only lowers the perch automatically; you have to still manually raise the perch to prevent the chickens from sneaking in at night and dirty up the box). It took the chickens three days to get used to the box mainly because it was higher off the ground, and they were initially intimidated by the red curtains. Once I temporarily placed a ramp to the nest box and taped off one of the flaps, they quickly adopted the box and, for the past weeks, have always played their eggs right inside the box. No more broken eggs, no more dirty eggs, highly recommend.

Works great. My nine year old son and myself put it together in and 30 minutes. Went together nicely. He enjoys more than I do because all the eggs he gets are clean! Ordering the extra pad was worth it so that I can hose it off the dirty one, put the extra one in and let the other one dry.

I was getting over half my eggs eaten every day and have not had one eaten since I changed to this neat box. The eggs are clean and I actually haven’t had to clean the nest box out in what is now 3 weeks

Love it! My newbies figured it out pretty quickly, and the eggs go right into the box for pickup. Once I bring my older girls in, I'm hoping they'll show them older ones the ropes. At least this way I won't have pecked eggs any more!
