I am just starting my laying egg chicken adventure. I have 20 chicks and this will be amazing! It was easy to put together and easy to install. I can’t wait until I am in full egg production in August. I work smarter, not harder. This will save so much time for me. I would rather have fun with my chickens rather than cleaning nest boxes and poop off their eggs! Thank you for creating such a great product!

Still fighting with the perch popper but the directions for the build and the packaging for the medium reversible rollaway was fine. My hens should be old enough to start laying next month. We'll see how they like this.

My Hens absolutely love their new nest set up. Assembly was a BREEZE, and a fun lesson for my young ones. The family and I are more than pleased with the prompt shipment, and absolute beautiful nest box.

The price is a bit steeper than I hoped for, but I found it easy to assemble and install. Time will tell how it does in winter and how long the batteries last, but it has done what is meant to do, was intuitive to use, and with light sensor readings it opens as the chickens wake, and closes when it is dark, so I didnt have to mess with the light settings.

The nest box was easy to assemble. The pullets learned to lay in it quickly - I used rubber eggs tied to the mat initially. The chickens still manage to stand and walk on the roof despite the slope. If ordering from Canada, UPS will try to charge $75 to broker it for you - you can decline, and do it yourself for free; the cost of shipping already doubles the cost of the item - why pay more?

This is by far the best nesting box out there! Very easy to assemble, even doing the long assembly. My 9 year old son did it all! The chickens love it and were using it within a week! It keeps the eggs safe, clean, and easy to collect!

I’m very happy with this product. My only issue with it is that I’d like a sturdier mounting system, but that’s nothing I can’t figure out myself. I’d also like a cheaper automatic ‘perch popper’ type accessory, but that’s not this specific product so it doesn’t affect my rating. This is so much better than my wooden nest boxes and switching my hens over has been easy. It’s even staying clean way longer than I expected.

I'm a little underwhelmed. Its good, it fits and works. I guess I was expecting something that felt like a more premium product. I wish I bought the simpler modles that cost 1/2 as much or just fabricated something simmilar. The egg ramps little guard needed to be bent to allow the eggs to pass. They are orphingtons. I was also sad to see the bottom of the egg tray was just a grid not really protecting the eggs in any real way. Hopefully this wont be an issue. Overall its good and works I just expected more for the money.

Quick and easy to put together and some of my hens went right to it, worked perfectly. The rest of my hens will probably use it once I remove the existing nesting boxes. I wasn't sure abut the curtains but the chickens really like the privacy and it has helped some of mine that were getting picked on while laying. Will definitely be buying another.

Definitely keeps the eggs clean, though I have noticed some cracking from banging into the metal of the holding space. It’s been consistently, but not to every egg.

It was simple to put together and easy for me to handle by myself. I cannot give my hens opinion yet because they have not been introduced to it. I’m still in the process of setting up a permanent coop and then I will install the Best Nest box.

YES! It's super fancy upgrade, but so worth it! I love not having to worry if my hens are eating the eggs on days I can't check on them as often. It only took them about two days to get adjusted:)

My dad was skeptical about it and how much I paid (I also got the perch popper). I put in in our shared chicken coop mounted off the north wall. It did take a couple of days before most of the hens were laying in it, but three days after install he drug me out the the coop to show the results. We had clean eggs. We also had about twice as many eggs as the before (our hens had started eating eggs). My kids were supposed to check for eggs hourly to prevent the eggs from being eaten, but they would often only check once or twice a day for the eggs... I'd buy it again, especially as my oldest two both want to sell eggs to raise money for summer camps, and to build a drone.

It didn't take the chickens long to figure out the nesting box. They love it and it's easy to take care of.

Very nice box, fairly easy to assemble and worked well. The hens took to it right away. I left one of the flaps off for a couple of weeks, I felt that would access into it more easily.

Quality product all the way! I needed a sturdy nest box that could be placed on a flat surface. This product does that where every other seller out there fails. My girls soon took to it after bribing them by placing mulberries in there a few times. This is a very worthwhile investment for your chickens.

For the two chickens that have figured out the box it is fantastic! For the rest of them all, well I hope they figure out our sooner than later. Well built and worth the money.

Quick delivery, easy installation! Unfortunately my chickens are taking their time getting to use it, unfortunately not much luck but hoping with time they all go in ! I would suggest fabulous with first set up but if your birds have been used to something otherwise they may stick to old patterns ! Happy otherwise

Works great, wish the price was better. I've bought two which comes to $300.00 to go with my two large Best Nest Boxes.

The boxes are well made and work well! The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because, for the price, they should come assembled.

This is a great product. I only wish I had ordered the large one to begin with. All my hens use it and there are no broken eggs and for the most part the eggs stay clean.

I can’t really right a review yet, because I have only one hen, and she doesn’t use the nest box. My chick order is arriving in April! I will say that the nest box arrived very quickly and assembling it was something I could handle, even though I’m not particularly handy with tools! Also, it is very nice quality. Thank you

I LOVE our new nesting box!! Had some issues with egg eating and this solved our problem. It did take my girls a little time to adjust to using it, but they seem to like it now. I love that it is a big open space, so no fighting over the same box. We installed so eggs can be picked up from outside the coop.

Our chickens were eating all of their eggs. We took our old laying boxes out and replaced them with the new ones. The chickens started using the new boxes within a few days. We are so thankful to be gathering eggs in our chicken coop again. I highly recommend these boxes!

Thought it was gonna be heavier built. Concept and design is nice was shorted a few bolts But seems to work ok

My chickens absolutely love it. And so, I love it. I was expecting a bigger challenge but they took to it like a duck to water. We have some serious egg eaters so I decided to give this a try. I tied the rubber egg onto the mat so it would be continually visible but since they had no idea what this newfangled contraption was I had to place the first chicken into the box. That's all it took. The first day I had 2 eggs. The next day, everyone was using the box. I couldn't be happier. Great design. And no more chickens eating my eggs.

We purchased this box when our hens started eating eggs and nothing we tried would dissuade them. We are using the box for 20 hens and crowding does not seem to be an issue. Added bonus: the eggs are SO much cleaner with this setup.

I get 96+ eggs every 3days so I open the boxes 10 times in one month which is 28000+ eggs per year between ducks and chickens. Both use the nest box in which the nest boxes see a lot of live action and hold up very well I have bought 7 all together and all my hens love them and so do I! Make you life better and easier...get one !

The design is great. Convincing hens to accept it was challenging. They are using it but still complain about the changes I made. At least I have reduced the number of destroyed eggs to the ones they now lay on the coop floor. I’m sure any new chicks I get will be fine with the new nesting set up.

Love it! Took the girls a couple days to figure out it wasn’t going to eat them but now they use it with no problems. Eggs are clean and easy to retrieve. I love that I can lock it at night by just flipping up the roosting bar so no one tries to sleep in the nesting box. I plan to order another one for my main coop since this one is working so well!

Exactly as advertised. Great product

They are amazing! Can't wait to put them in our new coop next week. Taking older hen a little time to get used to them but our new layers took right to them. Much cleaner eggs which means less time cleaning and less time for morning, afternoon chores. Love that I only have to collect once a day now. As our flock grows we will be getting more of them.

Great product, 2nd one I own. 1st set of batteries lasted almost 2 years, even through the cold New York winters!

The nest box was alil hard to assemble the instructions were not very clear to understand it took over a week for 4 of my chickens to use it the other 2 just wont we had to remove the red flaps they wouldn't touch it no matter how tight you screw the bolts and nuts they wobble lose. was it worth the money probably not but we shall see.

Absolutely love the Large Reversible Rollaway Nest Box. No problems with assembly, very easy. Eggs are always clean with none getting eaten by the girls. I had no problem getting the hens used to the nest box after I removed my old nests. It is awesome not having to go inside the coop to get the eggs. I would highly recommend.

These boxes have mad my collection so much easier. Less mess to deal with. Made a believer out of me.

I have raised layers for 8 years now. This is an amazing product. Eggs are clean and the hens love it. It only took a few days for them to adjust.

As advertised

Overall, I like it. Took a little less than 40 min to put it together. The only nit is with the mounting method. I would prefer a mounting bracket that accounts for the heads of the bolts on the back so that everything can mount flush. The height difference was easily addressed with a couple of washers on the backside of the mounting tabs. Regardless I wouldn't hesitate to buy this nest box again.

I absolutely LOVE this product. It is so nice to collect clean eggs. Most of my chickens used it the first day. After only a few days, they all were using it.

I must say I was on the fence of ordering this as it seemed over priced for something so simple. I even looked at building my own version. I took the chance and tried it anyway. Now I see why it was so much. A lot of thought and engineering went into this product. While simple in its function it does so because of the design. It has made things even better for an already great product. I'm glad I took the chance. Thank you

Chickens won't use it.

Best purchase I’ve ever made keeps eggs clean. I did have to zip tie a ceramic egg in there to help with laying but now they lay in the box no problem.

We just installed a medium sized box. It's only day 2. Yesterday the chickens were upset with us and wanted the old nesting box. Today they seem better about actually using the new box. We found the assembly to be easy enough. We had extra hardware so we were a little concerned. The unit is very sturdy once the bolts were tightened. We did discover we forgot to install 2 bolts (the 2 that hide behind the egg tray cover when it is closed). We were a little confused when trying to figure out how to orient the top. We wanted the egg tray on the back side so it would be outside the coop. We figured it out. One problem we had with our chickens is that the egg tray was reflecting light into the nesting box and the chickens didn't like that. We ended up putting a thin sheet of foam cloth on the metal so it wouldn't reflect.

The box makes collecting clean eggs easier, will like to buy more but too pricey

I have 2 medium nest boxes in a rear rollaway configuration. They are hung vertically in a hoop house for about 30 hens. The nest boxes are high quality and very durable when assembled. My flock took to the community laying style immediately and I am very pleased with the clean eggs I am receiving. I’ve purchased retail nest boxes and made my own rear roll away. These are the best boxes I’ve ever used in my operation, by far. I will say that the cost of them are on the high end of the spectrum. Very expensive. The accessories are as well. They know their product is the best...

The hinge for the egg cover could use a long rod rather than the two screws.

Good product

Unless you are extremely handiy with tools or carpentry work, this device is somewhat difficult to install. It took me some time to get it put together. Once I got it installed, it is pretty great to sleep in. Just beware you will need tools and some light carpentry work.

We love it! it was easy to install, and has worked great for our coop we pick up eggs everyday with out having to even walk into our coop. We plan to expand our operation and will definitely consider ordering more boxes. We purchased two large nest box’s last year for 200 pastured layers and being a cheap farmer I measured the box’s and made 4 others out of plywood. It worked okay during the summer but the birds preferred the Best Nest Box’s and the eggs were significantly cleaner in them as well. I have access to a sheet metal shop with all the tools at work and set out to again save a buck and make 4 more box’s myself over winter. Well it was no where worth my time breaking all the individual parts and making sure there were no sharp edges. I put about 6 hours into building just one box and still haven’t got it riveted/bolted together. Long story short we ordered 4 more large box’s last week and they have already shipped. The sticker price is a bit shocking at first but you get a very good product and it’s well worth the money. We’re keeping 399 layers this summer, the limit for our area. The 6 box’s we have would be good for 500 or more hens easily. The box’s will likely last us years. 👍👍

Beautifully constructed and easily assembled...however, I’m having trouble getting the hens to lay in them. It might take them some getting used to.

We purchased the small for new flock of birds. We are throughly pleased with how this Best Nest Box and Perch Popper are working. Would we buy another one? Yes we would without hesitation. Box goes together very easy with no issues as instructed. Once perch popper is programmed it works just fine. You wont be disappointed with this box setup.

Nice box, but our birds don't like it AT ALL. We've tried everything to get them to lay in it, and they are doing everything they can to avoid it. It's like a battle royale in the chicken coop, and the hens are winning.

There is no comparison. The time saved from washing poop off eggs is worth it alone. These last forever but we keep coming back for more as our flocks grow.

This is a great nesting box. I couldn’t break my chickens’ from sleeping in their old nesting box so their eggs were always dirty and some would get broken. It only took a week or so for them to get used to this new box, and it’s so nice to pick up beautiful, clean eggs. My only criticism is the the wooden crossbar. If it was made from a plastic type material, it would be much easier to clean
