Difficult to describe how much better this chicken is than regular store bought, you HAVE to try for yourself!

We can’t figure out why, but Farmer Dan’s hamburgers are better than any we can get anywhere — even from our famous, local butcher! And, of course, we also love the skirt steaks and hanger steaks. Looking forward to trying the fajita meat.

We got some 7 oz filet mignons in our very first order from Heartstone Farm last week. I was excited to find so many 100% grass fed options, especially filet since I can never find it at stores and when I do it's not very well marbled. Well, these filets were a great size and were beautifully marbled. Nice and thick too. Cooked them on cast iron pan and finished them slowly to medium rare in the oven and they were just delicious and tender. I already placed another order as a gift for someone. My wife and I (mostly my wife) are strictly are grass fed beef people now and finding a local farm that delivers such quality grass fed beef is a relief. I am excited to try smoking a grass fed brisket next. Good luck finding that at a grocery store. I liked how delivery is restricted to a regional area too. Makes me think they're not trying to dominate the market and risk quality at the same time,, like some other mail order steak companies I've used. Again, steak was delicious, one of the best I've cooked at home. Steaks were also still well frozen as they got here within a day or two of shipping. Packaging is neat too and helps restart my wood stove with the burnable corn-foam. Thanks to this company for eliminating the Styrofoam (sp?) packaging! Pretty neat.

It was a "5-star" experience from start to finish: (1) Ordering was easy/secure (2) Order arrived quickly, well packaged (even the insulation used in the package is biodegradable (3) The product (we got the shaved steak) was impressive in it's quality and taste (far and away the best I've ever had). Made steak bombs for the family last night and they just amazing!!

We are very happy with our purchases. The beef always has a fabulous flavor and we have never received any that was grizzly or overly fatty. The chicken is excellent as well, we prefer this over the organic chicken at Whole Foods or any boutique markets we use.

Omg! This beef is amazing! So delicious , you can definitely taste the difference with this beef and store bought and even my local butcher shop. We by our beef from a local butcher who knows where his beef comes from and is organic , but Farmer Dan's beef is 100% better . I am so happy I found his website and was able to purchase a share . I absolutely love getting our beef from Dan! We have never been dissatisfied. My mother in law is who started us on this farm. When times got really tough she sent us 3 boxes mixed of each kind of beef they had. When we bought our house a few months back we were extremely sad when our freezer that had all our beef from farmer Dan went and we didn’t know it for a few weeks, we were blessed with a Christmas present of a gift card for the farm. We purchased this as a gift for my parents and they were very excited to try out the farmer Dan sampler package. Delivery from the time of the order was very quick. It was nice to find a local farm to them to have fresh meat delivered rather than using one of those national brands and support a small local business/farm.

It's tough to write a review since we have not receive the order even it's shipping 6 days ago. I'm sure the shipping container is sufficient enough for a beef to last a week outside. Updated: The farm has sent another package as replacement. The beef was excellent.

Flour-dusted, egged & breaded, they came out succulent & tender on the inside & crispy on the outside. Every mouthful a treat, as were the steak tips; melt in your mouth tender.

Lean tender and delicious. The size was just right for our family of four. I’m going to order again a little larger but I doubt there will ever be leftovers.

I was very excited to try the fajita meat and bought 5lbs during promotion. I’m so glad that I did because it was perfectly chewy yet tender enough when sautéed with peppers and onions. I was also happy that they were pre cut, thus super easy to prep!

Amazing beef for steak and cheese (Philly style) hoagies. Terrific in Chinese dishes. Tender, tasty and a breeze to cook with.

I used the Oxtail to make stock. The bones had a lot of tender meat on them. They made a delicious stock and were very tasty.

We recently thoroughly enjoyed the Grass Fed liver that we purchased from Heartstone Farm. I dipped the pieces of liver in a bowl with flour, salt, pepper and some herbs before frying it. We had a delicious meal of liver with onions, bacon and fried potatoes! We loved the fact that it was organic as well as delicious. Of course, the liver had some veins in it . Perhaps next time, I'll try cutting out some of the veins prior to frying it. THANKS for the organic liver. I'll order it again.

My wife and I decided to order the beef shares due to the pandemic to heave plenty of inventory around for our family. So far we have enjoyed the ground beef which we have made burgers, meatloaf and Shepard’s pie. The ground beef is simply the best and very tasty. The other night my wife and I had a little date night at home and we cooked up a couple of T-bone steaks. Those steaks were the most mouth watering T-bone steaks we have ever had. We are so pleased with the quality of the beef. You can’t find this quality at a chain market store. We are and will be continuing to get our meat from Heartstone farm. I received my first order of meat from Heartstone farm recently, and oh boy, everything was as wonderful as I could have hoped. The shipping was fast, it arrived thoroughly frozen and well insulated (with environmentally friendly packaging!) and details like a nice hand written welcome note added to what was already a great experience. And the meat! It's so good! Everything we've tried so far has been wonderful, but for me the star was the shaved steak. I made philly cheese steaks and also tossed some into a quiche, both times several bits didn't make their way into their intended dishes because I couldn't help but snack on them directly from the pan. It's delicious, super easy and quick to cook, and extremely versatile. I was just commenting to my spouse that it was quite possibly my new favorite food and next time we place an order we should stock up since I only got one package the first time and I'm already looking forward to more!

I have been using Heartstone Farm meats for quite a while. My children can’t believe how good the meat is. My son recently ordered from Farmer Dan and is so very happy with everything he ordered. I will not buy meat anywhere else. Farmer Dan is also prompt with the delivery of the meat. Give it a try you won’t be sorry. I was never one for change and believe me I’m happy that I did.

That shaved steak was so tender and was SOOOOO good I dreamed about it. WICKED GOOD. My suggestion 12" roll and lots of cheese.

Unmatched quality and customer service. Not only is the meat delicious and obviously more natural than store bought meat, but the customer service is beyond exemplary. I had a shipping issue at fault of the delivery service that resulted in my order being 4 days late. When I emailed Heartstone on a Saturday with my concerns, Dan called me immediately on his personal cell phone to help work out the shipping error, which is unheard of in customer service. Ultimately, the package arrived 4 days later still frozen. Packaging was incredible and they even use environmental friendly dissolvable packing foam. This company is top notch.

Smoked the first plate on Sunday; 4lbs used prime rib rub from walmart; 5 hours 240, wrap in foil add marinade (soy sauce and coke cola) 2 hours 240; Bingo! I did trim it up a bit, but I use the trimmed fat for my collard greens. Bingo!

I purchased the Beef Tips from Farmer Dan and I have to tell you they are the most flavorful and tender beef cubes we have ever eaten. I seasoned them with my favorite steak seasoning and made kabobs on the grill with peppers, onions and cherry tomatoes. Was absolutely delicious!! Will be ordering more.

I honestly don’t have enough experience making beef bone broth to say much. However, the bones I ordered arrived nice and frozen and my first batch is quite tasty. It didn’t gel the way I thought it would, which I attribute to my lack of something, not the bones. I’m saving the porterhouse bones to add to the next batch!

I bought the Maine Box last week and have loved all the beef and chicken. I made burgers the first day. I've made tacos with the shaved beef and i deconstructed the whole chicken into 2 cast iron pans, seared it with fresh rosemary, garlic salt & pepper. After searing it i added some onion, orange grape tomatoes & yellow squash, deglazed the pan with white wine and added some chicken stock, finished cooking it in oven and served it with basmati rice!! Today i made meatballs with the burger meat, looking forward to that tonight for supper. Oh and I made the skinless boneless chicken breast and they were wonderful. Looking forward to placing another order soon.

A hidden gem. I had been looking for local meat shares to move away from highly processed, non-grain fed beef for my young family. I lucked out when I came across Heartstone. I ordered a monthly subscription of ground beef. It arrived in 2 days, frozen solid. I thawed out a few pounds and cooked it up the next night. It was some of the best burgers I’ve ever had.
