This was my first opportunity to order a beef share through Heartstone Farm. The process was seamless and we were so thrilled with our beef options. The ground beef is delectable, the steaks are generous cuts, very tender. I really appreciate the option to pay in three installments or a one time pay option. I placed my order in September and there was still availability for October so I didn’t have to wait long at all. We live several hours away from the farm and they were very willing to deliver to us. My order arrived fully frozen. It was delivered as Heartstone had stated. The share came in three boxes. The beef looked great. We had the T-Bones BBQ and they were delicious. The remainder is in my freezer for future use this winter. :.))

I have not shopped in a grocery store since March 2020. Even when I was able to, it was frustrating to pay top dollar for meats that were subpar. During this challenging time, I wanted to support local farmers. I received my first shipment which was packed well and still frozen, upon receipt. I thought that not having a grill would impact the flavor of the meats. Not the case, at all! My ribeye steak was FABULOUS! My cheeseburger was FABULOUS! My chili was FABULOUS! I bought the grass fed beef liver and a beef heart. I have not cooked the heart yet, looking forward to that. For the lover I used the recipe posted in Farmer Dan's blog and it was fantastic. So tender. I almost tried an air fryer recipe, I think I may cut a piece off of my 2nd liver and try that just to see. But, wow, what a difference it is to store bought grain fed liver, you can taste the difference. The order was shipped within a couple days (I ordered on Columbus Day weekend). Arrived the day after it shipped, still frozen solid. The sustainable packaging was a very nice touch and appreciated. I will be ordering again and hope others read this and order as well. These are some of the best, juiciest steaks we've ordered. We have been sampling grass fed beef from different places. The rib-eyes we ordered are by far some of the best steaks we've had. The cuts are thick and the meat is tender and delicious.

I recently purchased my first compliment of grass fed beef ever. We feel that feeding our family quality foods is critical in this day and age, but find that store bought meats are hit and miss regarding quality. We make a dish called Suya that this cut is perfect for. Tasty flavor and much more tender than the usual at the butcher shop. I did accidentally add this item to my next subscription but ordered it separately deciding I wanted it earlier. Sadly I’ve had trouble updating my subscription to remove the item from my next order. I’ve emailed the farm twice with no response. The buying experience has not been wonderful- still hoping it’s resolved before my next subscription sends- but the meat is great!..... Update 10/28/20 I called and left a message and got a call back to fix the issue. It was really easy and fast. Very happy with how easy it was!

This chicken is absolutely the most flavorful chicken we’ve ever had. We baked it whole and it was so juicy and bursting with flavor. Not to mention the leftover bones make a tremendous bone broth. We love this and will be buying much more!

The grass fed beef marrow bones that I bought were great! I made soup stock and bone broth to drink daily. The broth was very rich. I also use it when cooking rice or quinoa. It's delicious.

This is my second time purchasing this organic beef tongue. Super good quality as always. Usually I was only able to get beef tongue from Hmart or Japanese supermarket but they are not organic. I’m happy to find my options here.

The Flat Iron steak was spectacular! We braised it in a cast iron pan, then transferred it to well cooked Vidalia onions, shiitake mushrooms, garlic, celery and sea salt. A few minutes on each side, transferred to a board to rest and thinly sliced. We served it with roasted yams and cauliflower rice. Absolutely delicious.

We couldn’t be happier with our 1/4 beef share. Everything arrived very well packaged and labeled. Customer service through ordering and delivery was great. Quality is high with nice marbling for grass fed beef. Everything we have tried so far has a cut above super market product.

So far I've only had a T-bone and some ground beef, but both were excellent. Delivered on time, frozen solid, well wrapped and labelled. Quite a bit more expensive than other cow shares I've bought in the past, but I ran out of beef at the wrong point in the season and found myself scrambling for a share. Farmer Dan came through,and it is important to me to stay away from megafarmed, hormoned to the gills, animals.

With salt, pepper and butter I finally treated my self to a filet mignon from Heartstone. Being a filet I expected the steak to be on the lean side, but boy was I wrong !!! This cut being extra thick was juicy and tender. The marbling generous. I took the easy path by cooking this filet stove top in a skillet and was not disappointed. The steak which was easily cooked up in 5-7 minutes each side was jam "packed" with flavor and was melt in your mouth tender !! A really nice cut !!! This Filet mignon gets a five star rating and is a definite go to item for my future Heartstone Farm orders.

There are many reasons why the 14-Day Dry Aged Premium Ground Beef is worth trying. Right out of the package you can tell the difference in the quality of the beef. A few months ago we were driving from Dover-Foxcroft to Greenville where we spend half the year. I decided to stop at Hearthstone since it was new. I purchased some chicken livers and a chicken. Farmer Dan suggested the butterflied chicken. I also bought a chuck roast. A few days later I thawed the chicken and cooked it on the grill as farmer Dan had suggested. While eating my wife turned to me and said "this is the best chicken I have ever had". Indeed it was excellent. Sort of forgot what a chicken should really taste like. The next week I thawed the chuck and made a pot roast. Again excellent. I am impressed. Finally the chicken liver were also excellent. No bitter taste. While the prices are a bit higher than at a super market, the quality of the food is so much better. Very impressed. This guy is clearly doing something right. Did not use their shipping so cannot comment on that. HF McFarland

Dan was working in the office and happened to notice us there. He came out, invited us in and allowed us to place our order which was ready to pick-up the following day. We ordered a quarter share and it arrived last Monday. Everything was well packaged and frozen. My husband and son started eating it, and couldn't be happier! Next year we may need a second freezer!

I contacted Heartstone farm while in Maine to try to get the Maine box. The customer service was great and they got back to me right away. I went and picked up the box because my home address is in Texas and we were in town for the month. The meat was the absolute best cuts ever. The sirloin was thick and flavorful, not like any steak you can find at the grocery store or restaurants. You cannot beat the quality of this farm grass finished beef. You feel so good after eating it. I love being able to support the farms directly and I was so glad I found them on google! I will definitely order again when in town! I even have some left over to take back to Texas with me! I'm super excited!
