I absolutely love this sampler. It was a great way to try a few different things. The hamburger is my favorite because I can’t use it in so many different ways, but I’m looking forward to grilling my steaks later this week!

The heart was fantastic. I cooked it with onion, garlic, carrots, celery, poblano and jalapeño peppers, and beef bone broth in an Instant Pot on high pressure for an hour. Then I let the pot gradually release pressure for 30+ minutes. It made for an incredibly tender piece of meat. I've had it with couscous cooked in the pot gravy and with mashed potatoes.

Bang for the buck isn’t the best.

Healthy At Home Box arrived with scrumptious looking beef and chicken. We are not disappointed in the quality of Heartstone Beef. The flavor is full, the color is rich and the amount of fat is balanced. We are delighted at the selection and quality. Having health needs that limit beef consumption to low fat, we thought highland cattle was going to be our only choice, so relieved to have found an alternative! The grass fed beef does not sit heavy after consumption as mass produced store meat has a tendency to do. Excellent site, easy to use, fair pricing and prompt response to inquiries. Great tasting beef for burgers or any meal

This grass fed ribeye steak was part of our first order from Heartstone Farm. We had been thinking for a while about starting to get our beef from a small farm that treated its animals humanely and that emphasized aiming for the highest quality. We found it here. I followed the helpful cooking instructions that Farmer Dan included in the package (which arrived with everything carefully wrapped and still fully frozen), marinating the steak and then grilling it. I think I can say without any roundaboutation that it was probably the best steak my husband and I have ever eaten. We had subscribed to the monthly order of beef selections, and are looking forward to enjoying the other parts of that order, as well as to knowing that we’ll now have beef of this quality on a monthly basis. Consider this a rave review!

It doesn't get any better than Heartstone Farm beef. Sunday I had a skirt steak for dinner. It was super tender and full of flavor. I have been eating only Heartstone Farm beef for 2-3 years and can't think of a reason to eat any other beef.

I added the burgers to my order to see how they matched up to Omaha Steak burgers. I was extremely pleased at how much better they were. They were larger in size and tasted more like ground steak than hamburger. When cooking they were less greasy and juicier. The hamburger held together in the pan when frying. I will order again.

This is my third time ordering beef and chicken from Heartstone Farm, and I am overwhelming impressed with both the quality of the food and the level of customer service delivered. The ground beef has a wonderful texture and taste, and I have incorporated it into several meals with great results.

We have been getting the chicken and beef monthly box for two months now and eat everything up before the next box arrives. The shaved steak is so tender it practically melts in the pan when I saute it up for cheese steaks. The whole chicken was juicy and just the right size for our family of 3. Not all chicken is created equal! As a young lad I remember growing up in my grandparents home and hearing them say things like ‘tomatoes just don’t taste like they use to’ or “ Meat is just flat tasting nothing like it was when we were kids raising our own livestock”. Now I’m in my 40s and I’ve had the experience tasting food raised by local farmers... and I too find myself declaring “ not all chicken taste like chicken”... Heartstone chicken taste like chicken should!

The Heartstone Farm organic bone in skin on chicken thighs are excellent. The flavor, moistness and texture are outstanding. I seared the chicken thighs skin side down over medium heat for about 3-5 minutes then placed skin side up in a preheated 375 degree oven to finish. I removed the chicken to rest and deglazed the pan with white wine and a splash of honey balsamic vinegar for a quick pan sauce. The chicken was nicely packaged, too. Sandra L.

Phenomenal beef!

These chicken wings are big! Much larger than store-bought ones. One package is plenty for 2 of us for dinner as well as leftovers for lunch the next day. So far I have made them 3 ways: roasted them in a home-made barbecue sauce, served with lime wedges on the side; roasted with new potatoes, dill, lemon, and feta; and stir-fried with a soy-hoisin sauce. All 3 ways are yummy! Heartstone chicken wings are tender and delicious, and they have definitely become a staple in our home.I recommend them enthusiastically!

I strongly recommend people who want to be a vegan to stay away from this product because you will never be able to keep as a vegan after you try this. I don't know why, but the oxtail and the beef have a very special milky flavor, it almost smells like milk, you will smell that special flavor after you boil it for a while. I have never tried beef or oxtail with this high quality.

I have ordered several chicken orders and all have been excellent. You can see a natural pinkish skin color instead of the yellow skin in non-organic chicken. The quality is evident in taste and texture. It is so nice to have an organic choice so close to home (and being able to support Maine farms!).

This is already a favorite! It makes amazing pot roast. I’ve also cut it up to make smaller steaks. This is my go-to EVERY order.

We're grateful to have stumbled upon Heartstone Farm, a local Maine farm, to support for raising, packaging, and delivering fantastic organic whole chicken and grass-fed beef liver. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole chicken and made a great bone broth with the carcass. The price for whole chicken is quite high though, regardless of how good we feel about it.

Shaved steak is the best I’ve ever had. Makes amazing melt in your mouth tacos, cheese steaks and even great for breakfast with eggs

We made some burgers with this ground meat and quickly realized it needs no condiments... and why would we eat any other meat? This was fantastic, flavorful, fresh, and Farmer Dan’s not joking when he says it tastes like meat used to taste!

The preformed patties are very convenient and thaw very well in the microwave before preparing. Taste is very good.

Hands down the best beef I have ever had, especially in late summer after they have had fresh green grass to graze on for several months. Got to meet farmer Dan at the store front and he is great to talk to and very friendly. Beware though, once you taste this beef, anything store bought results in disappointment.

Very good quality meat! Tomahawk was delicious! Takes little bit longer to cook compare to ribeye, but really worth it!

Super excited that a local producer like Farmer Dan is selling beef hearts to his customers. In a world where everything is deboned, presliced, and made to look like anything but what it actually is, the beef heart I received is a beautiful cute of meat and emblematic of the nose to tail cooking we all should be doing more of! I sliced mine in quarter inch slices, floured it, and fried it in butter for a delicious sandwich. I will get another one to make stew at some point this winter.....
