Great meat

This is real meat. It smells different and has an excellent taste. The quality is exceptional and one of most important things it is air chilled, which is really hard to find in grocery stores nowadays.

The meat I ordered for my husband and I was so fresh. Really surprised me cause I ordered from other places and it wasn’t as good. The steaks were flavorful and tender . Omg the chicken reminded me of the chicken my grandma use to cook as a child and they were country farmers . The roll of butter I bought was far better than what I buy at the grocery store. I’ve already placed my second order. These are good people thank you !

I can eat ground beef again

Gave up all beef years ago but since I eat poultry joined Heartstone farms. Love all the items I have tried so far and now can eat ground beef again in some of my recipes.

Beautiful aroma, delicious taste!

Was very unimpressed with the beef selections. The Hamburg was strange smelling. The rib eye steaks were tough and unflavorful. Based on this, we are canceling our subscription and back to searching for local farm sources. We are New England based and I was hoping that this farm subscription would’ve fresh, flavorful meat sourced locally.

Not impressed

I wrote a review giving 3-starts. Explained I wanted beef from a ME farm but when shipment came from NJ I was concerned. Was told the meat might be from NY or VT. Not what I wanted so I cancelled my subscription. I did keep the order. The steaks were good but not great, chicken also no different than Bell and Evan’s. The only good thing was the zesty sausage. They were good but not worth the price. This review is fewer stars as I think my first review wasn’t posted.

Absolutely the best free-range chicken and grassfed beef. I have a subscription and I always look forward to my delivery. Their website is very easy to use and if I need something sooner I just click and it appears within 2 days.

Living a healther lifestyle

I have been a customer for about a year now. I get the Meat Box subscription and have found it to be such a convenient way to get meat for our household. I feel confident that the meat is fresh and had very little experience with unsealed packaging. I like that i can change up the subscription, for example, if we didn’t eat any steaks from the order before and i have an order coming soon, I can go in and change out the steaks for something else on the list. I also have the option of adding on anything extra. I really like the turkey tenderloins and love the osso buco is SO GOOD! The meat has been very lean and received instructions on how to cook it. Seems to be a good company and love buying locally.

Everything we tried has been great! I tried to log into my account and they can’t find my email or account so if someone could check on that I would appreciate it. I wanted to review for my next order

This was my first order placed with Heartstone farms. Everything arrived on time, well packaged, with biodegradable cold packs. The bacon is delicious, the hot dogs were loved by grands, and the blueberry pie was DELICIOUS. We haven’t tried anything else yet but I am confident it will all be delicious!

I discovered Heartstone Farm on google and have never looked back. I purchase my meats from them on a regular basis. It is reasonably priced for such high quality and arrives frozen in high quality packing. The meat is so much more flavorful and fresh tasting. I highly recommend Farmer Dan and Heartstone. Our Thanksgiving turkey will come from Heartstone.

The bacon has a very good smoked flavor.I use it in quiche, for bacon cheese burgers(burgers theirs also) and as an addition to sandwiches 🥪 😋

The meat is absolutely delicious. I do wish the portions were bigger, but this is really a fair deal compared to any other meat delivery services out there. And unlike a few other services, this one really is farm-to-table.

ribeye steaks

This is the third time I have ordered from Heartstone Farms, And every time I place an order I make sure I include the ribeye steaks. The steaks are tender and absolutely delicious. I highly recommend all the cuts of beef from this farm.

I decided about a year ago that I could no longer be a part of the suffering of animals in CAFO facilities. Heartstone has created an option which provides meat from pasture raised animals. Their biodegradable packaging aligns with my values as well.

Moist, delicious Dark Turkey Meatloaf!

Added the dark turkey meat with Farmer Dan's lighter turkey meat with olive oil, shallots, cheese, peppers, spices, etc. to make a deliciously moist meatloaf. The dark meat added another layer of flavor.

Good, not great

The chickens good. But it does look nothing like the pictures. The pictures show a chicken breasts that doesn't have the fat lines through, like you see in a lot of store bought chicken. However, every time I get it, it has those fat lines. The good news is that I have yet to experience the woody breast syndrome you get with Store bought chicken.

High quality beef!

Excellent ground beef, not fatty at all, I've used it in many recipes and it always comes out great!

My husband, a meat lover, and I, (often will choose a veggie burger over meat) both thoroughly enjoyed these burgers. They are meaty, not too fatty, substantial, and tasty! We are ordering them regularly now. We love our subscription to Hearthstone Farm!

Strip Steak

We find the steak to be very tender and delicious. We make a rub with garlic and onion powder along with salt and pepper. Then we let it sit for a while before grilling the steak!

Chili and pulled beef upgrade

My first order with Heartstone Farm and I might be hooked! I used the 90/10 ground w/organ meat and 85/15 ground for a batch of amazing chili! I cook with organic ingredients and the quality of Heartstone Farm ground beef elevated my chili! I made my chili for camping trip to Michigan and I couldn’t wait to get home to have more. I will definitely be purchasing more 90/10 ground beef!! Also cooked up the chuck roast for pulled beef sandwiches and another amazing meal with quality grass fed beef!

We have been looking for quality pasture raised beef, but wanted to order from a farm relatively local to our area. We got our first assorted box and everything about it was great. From the communication to the delivery with the meat still frozen, to the actual quality of the steaks. So far, this was such a great choice for our family.

Excellent flavor

Beef stew with the Heartstone stew/kabob meat pack PACKS A PUNCH. This is a staple at our house and I am always amazed at the flavor and tenderness of the meat. The packs look quite small for our family of 5 but the cubes inside are huge when unpacked. I usually use this 1 pack and cut cubes of meat smaller than packaged. I also sometimes extend the serving size by cubing a small sirloin to add in stew.

Amazing ground pork!

This ground pork is nothing like what you find in grocery stores. It’s full of flavor, releases very little fat or water when cooking, and has a fresh, vibrant color—not dull or faded like typical store-bought ground pork.

I love the chicken I get from Hearthstone Farm. I usually bake a batch of chicken breasts every few days to make sure I have some sliced and in the fridge at all times- to put on salad, throw in a a quick sauce for pasta, or just to snack on throughout the day to his my protein goals. I make sure to always have at least 2 packs waiting in my freezer and when I get low, I have to order more right away… I can barely tolerate grocery store chicken anymore. Thanks Farmer Dan!

I’m very happy with the orders that I received. I think the only product I may not purchase again, would be the chili. I was delicious but was just not enough food for my husband and I. Looking for a local source fir quality meat

I found Farmer Dan and Heartstone farm when looking at Maine. I joined and placed my first order. Upon shipping confirmation, I saw they were shipping from NJ not ME. An email I sent with a question didn’t really answer my question. I deduced the meat I got came from farm partners located in NY or VT, not ME. That was a deal breaker for me. No issue with NY or VT but it was not what I was looking for. I received the first order and have eaten some of the meat. Mainly, Ribeye, zesty Italian Sausage and chicken. I enjoyed the ribeye. Nothing noticeable about the flavor. It didn’t stand out but was good. Same for the chicken. Can’t say it was better than Bell & Evans organic. What we did enjoy was the zesty Italian Sausage. They were juicy and had a good flavor. Didn’t expect to like the pork the most truth be told. I have cancelled my subscription and will use a different supplier. If you like Sausage, try the Zesty Italian. We enjoyed them and we have high standards as Boston Italians.
