Mine Blueberry Pie!!!

Being from Maine & now living in Eastern Tennessee it was really NICE to have a Blueberry Pie made with real Maine blueberries. It was delicious and gave a sense of having an authentic New England dessert. I would definitely order it again!!! :)

A WONDERFUL NEW SPIN ON GROUND BEEF

The Ancestral Blend ground beef is definitely delicious and juicy. It tastes clean and natural. The texture is unlike 'store bought' ground beef in that it is softer. A noticeable difference since I was purchasing 'store bought' ground beef all of the time and I'm so glad that I made the upgrade to Heartstone Farm's ground beef!

We love the shaved steak for a quick meal on busy nights. It comes cut in shaved pieces and cooks quickly, so its very convenient. We love knowing our meat is grass fed and comes from Maine. It's delicious!

Ancestral Blend Ground Beef is OUTSTANDING!

As someone who is very discerning about their beef, the Ancestral Blend ground beef is next level in flavor! The addition of the organ meat gives burgers that something special that you didn’t know was missing. It’s the only burger I cook with at home now and I’m so glad that I discovered the Ancestral Blend!

We received our first Farmer Dan's Meat Box subscription a couple of weeks ago so we wanted to work through some of the food a bit before giving a review. Starting with the beginning, ordering was easy and it was fun to select the specific cuts of meat we would receive. The communication around the delivery was excellent. The items were delivered on the date expected. When we opened the box it did appear that some of the meat had begun to thaw which was a concern. We had recently tried another local farm and didn't have the same issue. The portion sizes were as expected. We ordered hamburger, various steak cuts, hamburger, chicken drumsticks and chicken breast. The steak was excellent. There is definitely a difference between the premium cuts and regular cuts. The drumsticks were definitely old. The smell upon opening was putrid. Heartstone quickly rectified this with a refund. The chicken breast was great and the hamburger has been great thus far. We will do another month worth of the subscription and see how the delivery works out.

Freshest tasting pie I've had!

This blueberry pie tastes like someone's gramma made it. It tastes SO fresh! I don't know how they did it from a frozen state, but you can taste the love (and maybe lard?) in every bite. Yum! Don't hesistate.

We bought our fist Spatchcock chicken from Heartstone as a trial test run. Well it was everything we hoped. Well cleaned, well plucked, a perfect weight and overall a wonderful bird. Being spatchcocked, cooking time is drastically reduced, resulting in a juicy, flavorful bird in less than half the time in the oven. Highly recommended and we will buy again.

I am extremely pleased with the quality of the first package of meat (fajita meat) it was so tender and juicy absolutely delicious! I put no seasoning on the meat to just taste the meat. I am looking forward to trying the ground beef for dinner this evening. Very happy so far that I tried farmer dan's. Sorry I didn't take a picture or i would have uploaded it for additional savings.

Everything was nicely wrapped. There was plenty of dry ice so nothing spoiled. The meats are much better quality than what you would find in a nationwide supermarket. We’re very happy so far.

I baked the regular blueberry pie obe week, and the gluten-free version the next. I noticed little if no difference between the taste, texture, and the wholesome flavor of the Msine blueberries. Both versions are scrumptious and hsbit-forming!

Not only is the taste superior to grocery store meat but the humane practice of the stock and attention to the land is the biggest reason for me trying Farmer Dan . I feel good again feeding my family and myself. I will never go back, we are worth so much more. Thank you

Sirloin for Beef Stew

I love adding cubbed sirloin meat to my beef stew/ kabobs to mix flavors and tenderness of meat in my stew. Family loves it. It makes a good grilled steak and/or cubbed as kabobs with veggies on the grill. Yummy!

First order

I received the first order. It was just what I expected. The chops were thick and very good. I grilled them and you could cut them with a fork. The hamburger was exceptional, almost no grease. I think they were 90/10. the chuck made the best roast I made in a long time. I can't wait until I get my second order. In about 3 weeks

One fine hot dog!

I’m a little sensitive to this type of food, but these hotdog did not bother me at all. They’re delicious and the ingredients are top-notch!

The burgers are very good! My husband gets heartburn fom so many burgers but NOT yours! My only complaint is that the patties are not sturdy and I have to re-patty them once they thaw. It's probably in the sealing process. I have a food vacuum sealer and I understand how it smashed the patties. But they are very good!

Love this bone marrow. I personally love to throw them in the oven for 20 minutes and eat the marrow out, then I save the bones for fresh batches of bone broth.

Guilt free eating - pure, and simple

My wife and I moved to an area away from our rural setting that did not offer options like grass-fed, Fed-Grass Finished meat. We looked at several companies that offer box/subscription deals, but ultimately landed on Heartstone Farm! We are glad we did! The orders are dependable, the meat is delicious, and we never have to worry about the safety of our meat. We went ALL IN with the Pork, Chicken, Turkey, and Beef products for a well-rounded diet. NONE of the products disappoints. It was funny, we also had to learn how to cook again because when you get food this fresh, cook times vary, and old ways of cooking were too much. Better than expected!

We’ve had meat subscriptions before but Heartstone Farms was better than expected. The packaging, the quality and most importantly the taste has been amazing!

Good meat, poor packaging.

Overall im happy with the meat I received. The vacuum sealed plastic packaging needs to be upgraded to something more durable. Almost every piece of meat, when thawed, got meat juice all over my refrigerator/counter.

Great Quality Meats

My shipment came well packed and frozen solid. So far, I have enjoyed the chicken, chopped meat and sweet Italian sausage. I especially like it that the chicken thighs comes with the skin on. The Sausage had a really great flavor, just the right amount of spices. I am very well pleased. I think my favorite part of ordering from Heartstone is that I can get the cuts I want. I don't have to worry about getting something I did not order and may not actually want. I will continue to order in the future.

This meat is so delicious and mild. We love it.

The taste of the fat is mild and is similar to the taste of leaf lard. We love to use it in our fish frying. So there is no waste of food, everything is used. We like to cook it up in patties as an alternative to burgers. We have added it to the ancestral beef and it tastes great! It is also good for those who cannot have the spices in sausage. Everybody is happy.

I have been buying meat from Farmer Dan since COVID. I have found his beef to be high quality and tasty. Theresa is an occasional tough piece of meat or a strange cut but always tasty, prices are good for grass fed beef, my order is on time and delivered to my door. Good stuff.

Happy and sad

I was pleased with the hamburger, pork chop, but the filet mignon was very tough at a little over rare. It looked amazing, cut against the grain but sorry it was tough. I did however love the hamburger. Flavorful. The brochure was a wonderful touch also! I learned so much and was told to fully cook pork, but your magnet suggests differently. Looking forward to try the turkey and others. No other beef was purchased not sure if I will again? Maybe way to lean? No clue.
