Bird Spikes for WS-5000 Rain Collector
Verified Buyer
I originally acquired the bird spikes, in error, for the WS-2902. It didnt fit the WS-5000 and was poorly constructed. After many hours of searching I finally found the correct one, stainless steel spikes and proper fit. I wish this was listed with the standard accessories for this unit.

Ambient Weather WS-2902-ARRAY Replacement Sensor Array, WS-1900, WS-2000, WS-2902 and WS-2902A Wireless Weather Station
I purchased a replacement exterior array because the original was trashed in a hail storm. Everything went well with the purchase and delivery, but I was unable to get the new array to sync with my console. The staff thought it must have been flawed in some way, so you sent me another. The 2nd one linked up great. I'm back in the weather know. Thank you!

pool temp and soil moisture indicators
Verified Buyer
Both type of indicators connected to my 2000 weather station very easily. Was able to change the name of the indicators on my Ambient Weather Network app but not able to do the same on the 2000 tablet. On the tablet they are just named as channel 1, 2, 3 and so on.

Rain Gauge lower than actual

Ambient Weather WS-4000 Solar Powered UltraSonic Wi-Fi Weather Station
Easy to install and maintenance free- this is a huge plus. Recently, we’ve had very heavy rains. One to two inches a day. The rain gauge records, but is lower than the actual based on the bucket I left in the yard next to weather station. The display is colorful and operates well.

Ambient Weather WS-2000 Smart Weather Station with WiFi Remote Monitoring and Alerts & Thermo Hygrometer
Works well. I did purchase one of the leak sensors. I was under the impression that the alarm for that would come through the main display console only to find it doesn’t. The leak detector is in the basement so I’m wondering if I would hear it if it ever went off.

My thoughts

Ambient Weather WS-5000 Ultrasonic Professional Smart Weather Station & Thermo Hygrometer
I purchased to replace a 15 year old Davis Vantage Pro. This seems to be of fairly good quality but not to the level of the Davis Instruments. I prefer the nice bright easy to read display over the Davis though. Primary reason of purchase was to have the ability to economically add multiple more temperature sensors to monitor freezers and other structures. I guess time will tell if it will last as long as a Davis. So far it seems to be pretty accurate. My biggest complaint is the base stations week ability to receive signals from the sensors. An external antenna would seem to be a wise upgrade. I literally can twist or slide the base station 1 to 2 inches and it would change from no signal to 1 bar to full signal. Same results in more than one location. Based on my experience you most likely you will not be able to place the base station where you want unless you have a very small house with the base station mounted very close to your house.

Ambient Weather Network Weather Window
Good implementation of a reasonably sized console that integrates and displays weather data and views (if you have a camera outside). It would be nice if they enabled more flexibility in customizing the “tiles” that make up the display. I would like to see a tile that includes total yearly rainfall to date. A simple programming interface to customize the display would be great.

Ambient Weather WS-2902-WV Replacement Wind Vane, WS-1900, WS-2000 and WS-2902 Wireless Weather Station
We experienced a hail storm a couple of days before t I found the tail of my wind direction arrow laying on the ground. I noticed a day earlier my wind direction indication seemed off. I called customer service with my model number and what I needed and they hooked me up. My new wind vane arrived well packaged in just a few days. I’m back to being in the weather know.

This is the 3rd pool temperature sensor that I have purchased in the last 4 years. One of those I had to repair myself to it make work again for a while. I am hoping to get better life out of this one.

Ambient Weather WS-2902-AC Replacement AC Adapter, WS-2902 Wireless Weather Station
My weather station was flashing and was told I need a newer AC Adapter. Prior to receiving the new AC Adapter, my weather station stopped flashing and has returned to normal. I do have the new AC Adapter as a backup when needed. Thanks.......Gary
