Ambient Weather WS-5000 Ultrasonic Professional Smart Weather Station & Thermo Hygrometer
I'm really enjoying it. I've been watching the weather for years, now I can "read" it too! I've learned about temperature variances in my own home I wasn't aware of also.

Ambient Weather WS-5000 Ultrasonic Professional Smart Weather Station & Thermo Hygrometer
Magnificent device. After several months of use, the device has remained connected and reports accurate information even in sunlight. I also use wet probes connected to the station to report pool and koi pond temperature. It is the best station I have owned.

Ambient Weather WS-5000 Ultrasonic Professional Smart Weather Station & Thermo Hygrometer
In short: it works... most of the time. I had several outages of the wind sensor in heavy rain/wind situations that took between 30 minutes and a little more than an hour. In all other situations it works flawlessly. The wind sensor itself is a highlight of this unit... very sensitive. It captures the shortest wind blasts. The rain capture unit works perfectly. To my surprise, the battery usage on both units is minimal. Even in the short and gloomy days of the Pacific Northwest winter, one set of batteries worked over the last 5 months (and still not need replacement). Same with the rain sensor, which does not have a solar panel - works 100% on battery. After 5 months still going strong.
Support is a different story... several e-mails got unanswered. Posting it in the Facebook group got for a long time unanswered. Then I got contacted in the Facebook group with a promise that support will be contacting me... never happened. Support itself would be zero stars!

Ambient Weather WS-2902 Smart Weather Station with WiFi Remote Monitoring and Alerts & Thermo Hygrometer
The sensor array just went through a pretty harsh February complete with lots of snow, freezing rain and extreme cold, and it has worked flawlessly. No issues with the monitoring station either.
As a suggestion for future designs, I'd get rid of the "forecast" icon and replace it with something more useful-- perhaps a pressure trend graph or something. Even after "learning" the pressure tendency for months, it's still wildly inaccurate (as are all "pressure forecasters") if a dry front rolls through. Also, the brightness setting needs to have a lower brightness on the "low" setting as it's way too bright for sleeping. The "low" setting should only be 10% of the brightness of the "high" setting. I'm forced to put a red light filter over the screen if I don't want to turn the display off at night. I almost took off a star for this reason but my overall satisfaction is still high, so I didn't.

I really like the this weather station and have enjoyed. The one negative and its a big on one is it drops connection a several times a day with Wifi. Nothing I have tried has worked.

I am very pleased with the WS-5000. I like it best for no moving parts. I also monitor my refrigerator and freezer temperatures which on occasion someone leaves the doors ajar!

LOVE it works great have had no issues or problems. Only item I wished the display had was an indicator showing if the outside temp. was trending up or trending down. It only shows the hottest temp and the coldest but not how the temp is currently trending. Worth every penny!
