Great weather station at a great price

AWESOME

Very nice, accurate rain gauge, easy to set up.

Fit perfectly.

so for it been great

So far so good! Very nice that the station stays connected all the time. Simple, clean and easy to setup.

Replaced a broken stand perfectly

I like the fact it reports more often than my 2902. It's different to look out the window and not see things spinning and moving like on the 2902. It registered 75.2 mph winds the other day. I wish it were APRS compatible. I'm enjoying it just as much as the 2902 it replaced due to severe hail damage. I'll never go without a weather station again.

on line connection doesn't work, disappointing

I had one for years, which got broken in a remodel. Looking forward to putting up the new one!

Right part. Fast delivery.

very sturdy and easily installed.

improved version of the A and B models. connects to internet easier and automatically gets the time from the internet, nice features.

This is a great system. I have two and they are outstanding. Wish they were invented long ago,

I bought this WS-2000 to replace a brand new Acurite Atlas I foolishly bought before learning about this weather station. Ambient did SO many things right on the WS-2000! The console is a pleasure to view and use. In particular, I like:

* Well-designed mounting arrangement – you can’t go wrong with simple U-bolts. The Atlas had a plastic clamp bracket that wasn’t large enough for my PVC pipe mast.

* Moon phase is always shown. The Atlas showed it only at night. I am into astronomy imaging and often want to know how bright the Moon will be tonight, so I can plan an imaging session.

* Sun path across the sky. It’s great to see the sun’s position at a glance.

* Current rain rate. I want to know how hard it's raining NOW, not just accumulation. My old Davis Vantage Vue had this, so I knew the value to me. I just wish the rain rate number were 50% larger. For me, it’s almost as important as the daily rain number.

* Eight real buttons vs. the Atlas' three touch sensors that didn't respond half the time.

* A solar insolation reading. I think this is cool; I have no specific use for it, but it's nice to relate to my solar power system's current production.

* A real printed 8-1/2 x 11 user manual (plus a PDF version). I have written dozens of user manuals over the decades, and appreciate a comprehensive, well-written manual.

Great job, Ambient!

Works well!

Exactly what I was looking for 😃

The WS-2000 is pretty OK. We used to have a La Crosse weather station with an anemometer but they 'retired' it from production and we're addicted to instant info about wind speed, etc. so we had to find an alternative. The WS-2000 is almost as good. It has a lot more functions, like barometric pressure and rainfall, so their screen is more cluttered. In addition AW icons for wind, etc are not as pleasingly designed as the La Crosse. All of that makes the AW less easy to read. We've had the station up and running for a month and we're just getting use to the layout. But it works fine and offers a LOT of information so I give it a 4 out of 5.

Great. Really like the fast refresh rate.
