I like the additional sensors vs the ws-2902c model that I upgraded from. Just for the start seems the wind accuracy is better

haven't used them yet, keep them as spares as the sun makes them brittle over time...

After a severe freeze just before Christmas with the furnace failing and some pipes freezing, I needed a way to check the temperature in the utility building without going out in the middle of a freezing night. This temperature sensor works well for me and lets me stay warm when things are ok.

Ambient Weather WS-5000-CONSOLE Console Only, WS-5000 Wireless Weather Station
These work great. Just wish moon rise and moon set were also displayed. It does attempt to show moon phase, but unlike the sun, does not "move" across the display.

Ambient Weather WS-2000 Smart Weather Station with WiFi Remote Monitoring and Alerts & Thermo Hygrometer
The WS2000 has good wireless range... The display is excellent with great colors and good detail. It can be turned off when not in use. The unit was easy to connect to the internet and is displayed on the Weather Underground and Ambient maps. The barometric pressure needed to be calibrated but that was easy to do using the 'settings' menu. I used several nearby official WX stations and used them as a standard. The Ambient app for my Samsung Galaxy S21 cell phone works great...
I have a Davis Advantage Pro unit and this one is just as good or better for hundred$ less. But, my Davis unit is solar powered and has been up for years with no need to replace batteries. I see no reason why Ambient couldn't offer a solar option for the WS2000. It's not easy or convenient to replace batteries every other year... Also, the Davis unit updates wind speed every second or so... The WS2000 takes about 16 seconds to do the same. With today's technology, I would think Ambient could do better... Overall, the WS2000 is a good buy for the money.

Overall, I like the weather station. My only complaint is the size of the screen and the font size of the information on the screen. Very difficult to read.

Ambient Weather WS-5000 Ultrasonic Professional Smart Weather Station & Thermo Hygrometer
Has worked very well even through blowing snow and ice buildup without running the heater. It does need a remote battery box at the bottom of the pole. I built one, lots easier than taking down a 30 foot mast 2 or 3 times a year.

Ambient Weather WS-2000 Smart Weather Station with WiFi Remote Monitoring and Alerts & Thermo Hygrometer
I purchased the WS-2000 to replace an old Ambient WS that was not playing well with my upgraded WIFI. I like the new Console Display and the new Array is working well. Unfortunately, when setting up the new Console and Array I neglected to take the batteries out of my old Array and insure it was fully discharged. Unbeknownst to me the old array connected automatically with the Console. The result was the new Array would not connect. After many failed attempts, factory resets etc. I finally saw that the array id on the Console did not match the id on the new Array. After changing it to the new Array id it connected immediately. The cautionary tale here is that if you are replacing an old Ambient Weather Station be sure to completely power down and discharge your old array and sensors.
