Didn’t realize the post wasn’t part of the kit. Need to let people know all the required elements.

I love my new Ambient WS-5000 weather station. colorful screen and easy calibration when needed. This is now competing with my Davis PRO2. For a later review.

Once working, very nice! Had difficulty setting up WiFi connection, and disappointed additional sensors don’t show on console, but otherwise does what it says.

What a great experience! The shipping was fast and professional, the instructions were easy to understand and follow and everything is working really well.

I like it!

I appreciate your technical support as well as the FB forum users advice

Easy to do the physical setup. It took me a bit longer to link to the online weather app. I'm using Wunderground, and really like how I can see the current and past history on my tablet, where ever I am.

Finally. The best weather at home Station I've ever purchased. Love it and so do my friends when I post it on social media

Works great

All I can is GREAT.

I've had it for a month now and it's perfect. I can check out the weather from the app on my phone or via the Ambient Weather website. Exactly what I wanted. I just wish they had a snow gauge.

Great weather station. Exactly what we looking for. We live out in the country and the closest weather station is a long ways away. So this station gives us the weather right at house.

Easy to read, much easier than our previous model, which was black and white. Sets up easily.

So far, I really like the station. With the included and optional sensors I have been able to monitor temps at our vacation home on the Gulf coast during this recent freezing weather. I’m anxious to see how well the unit holds up in the GOM weather.

like many current devices this is 2.4 wi-fi only and seemed to be pickier to get set up than most. mfr needs to get their act together and include 5 gh support. also a second display does not keep time or date on power outage even though attest backup in place. otherwise so far it works great

very good display, hard to see E,W,N,S, direction.

Great concept!
Pro's:
1. You can add up to 8 sending units although 10 would have been great.
2. Each sending unit has a display of temp/humidity; many do not.
3. It has a data logger with it; others require you to buy one.
4. Software for the computer is a free download.

Con's:
The only thing that has been a major pain is the short transmission range of the sending units. I thank them that they say it has 300' range but only 100' realistically, but my realistically has more obstructions that causes less than 100'. I have temperature sending units made by La Crosse that that easily reach from sending unit to console; but they do not have a data logger available (a must for my situation). I asked if Ambient Wx had stronger sending units; they do not. I asked if they had a repeater; they do not.

So I believe I have found a place for the console where it can receive all the sending units but it took many hours and 1.5 days to find that location. It was a case of moving the console from room to room; high to low; in front of windows and turning it at different angles. It was a case of moving all the sending units to different places in the particular room; high to low, in front of windows trying to find that magic place.

Once I believed I had found that magical place, after about 1 hour some sensors started to drop off line and the whole procedure started again. So yes; the sensors should be improved.

The other minor issue was in the software. It appears you can only name the location of the sensors using pre-named words. It would be helpful if you could name them yourself. I did not find "Guitar Case" helpful for the location of the sensor that was in the garage or breezeway.

Love this unit. Works great. Highly recommended

Great functionality, great value, great technology.

Nice unit - will have to wait to see how it holds up in the outdoor environment.
