I purchased a model #2700 from ambient weather. I thought it would be a simple indoor/outdoor temperature/humidity gauge but instead it measures the time, date, moon phase, provides weather forecasts, alarms, min/max information, etc. I spent 2 hours reading the operators manual and finally gave up half way through the section on calibration. Way too complicated for my tastes. I sent it back but not sure I’ll get my money back. That’s a complicated process too.

The sales/tech gentleman was very helpful & personable he was able to answer my questions his knowledge of the product was good, his explanation was easy to understand as well.
We received our unit exactly on time stated.
I will definitely recommend Ambient. Buying directly was a better experience than on line!

Selection and ordering was easy and fast. Shipment was amazingly fast. Everything worked fine. The documentation left out a few details, so I have to call support to clear-up a few details. I got the support I needed.

A new wind vane arrived promptly after placing my order. The browse function on their site was not helpful, but a google search led me to the correct page to place my order, thus a 4 star rating.

First of all, why don't you fix the form to fill out that comes in my email? My experience with buying your product was great. Prompt service and quick shipping. This is the second one we have bought with the first one being sometime before 2012. It was still working except for the min/max button which finally gave up the ghost. I do wish this one had the time of min/max temps but I suppose that is too much to ask. Thanks for making a product which as far as I can tell, is made in America. Sandy Martin Soda Springs, Idaho

Liked my old WS-1171A, which lasted well beyond a decade, but it died of "old age." My new replacement (WS-2801A) in color is a welcomed replacement for the 21st Century! I plan my days according to the weather, so in the NE part of the U.S., it's nice to consult this easy to use weather station that provides me with all of the local weather information I really need. For long range, the U.S. Weather Bureau is nearby at the airport and university broadcasting on the radio.
Beside the color and graphic features, which are quite appealing, the A/C adapter was a great addition; as well as having my new station delivered for free "almost" overnight. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Great purchase!
The must have feature for me was the soil moisture sensors. Syncing this with my Rachio sprinklers through IFTTT was easy and will hopefully make me look like a expert with plants/trees.
Another benefit was getting a wind alert which allowed me to put down my umbrellas before they blew away like happened to my neighbors.

Super easy to use and the package arrived very quickly. I was disapointed the mount of the rain guge was quite a bit different that my original unit and the tiny screws with A #2 phillips are crap. The hole to get to the screw is smaller than every #2 screwdriver and requires a #1 screwdriver to fit and just strip out thje scews to get them out and get a few turns and call it good to get them in.
