The extra sensor was reasonably priced, and arrived quickly. Once installed, it works well. The one difficulty I had is that there were no instructions how to get it to connect to my weather station home base or to my app. Finally muddled through on my own.

Order was fulfilled promptly and arrived within about a week. Replacement array arrived in good condition, but did not have any setup instructions with it. Fortunately this information is freely available on line from ambient weather.com, but a slip of paper directing recipients to the url would help. Easy setup & sync, so I was up and running within a few minutes. Overall, a great product spare that has given my station a new lease on life.

Very disappointed with Ambient Weather. The instructions for installation of the lightning sensor is minimal at best. I finally realized that the WS-5000 needed to have the firmware updated. Easier said than done. I purchased a separate micro sd card to which I downloaded the updated firmware. Unfortunately the WS-5000 does not recognize the update. I also tried to use the awnet app, but it doesn’t see my WS-5000. It also doesn’t have the WS-5000 as one of the available weather stations. So needless to say I can’t use my new lightning detector. I will now have the try and find some time during the work week to call Ambient. Very dissatisfied.

Unfortunately to record outside temperature inside you need tp to get the awnet app. Problem is this is not a secure site. Therefore I need to return the item to you. Please instruct me how to handle returns. Thank you.
