A Christian Ending: A Handbook for Burial in the Ancient Christian Tradition
Best book on Orthodox burial I've seen so far as to how the local church can prepare the body for burial with documents the parish may need and step-by-step instructions through the whole process. We are just in the beginning stage of developing our Burial Society.

Seven Holy Women: Conversations with Saints and Friends
Seven Holy Women is a beautiful book that shares the stories of seven female saints, personal connections between the saints and each of the women who wrote about them, questions and prompts for the reader to think about and complete on her own, and questions to complete with friends. Something I deeply appreciated about this book was the raw honesty each of the writers used when sharing their own stories. Hearing about areas where they struggle with the faith or more broadly in their own lives was validating because it reminded me how we are all walking together on the journey of strengthening our relationship with God and deepening our faith. It also reminded me of the importance we have in supporting one another and taught me about so many strong female saints who are interceding for us. One story I especially loved was that of St. Kassiani: hearing her boldness in responding to the emperor even before she became a nun was so empowering. I highly recommend this book to any woman who wants to learn more about some of the incredible women we have interceding for us.

Thinking Orthodox: Understanding and Acquiring the Orthodox Christian Mind
Dr. Constantinople takes the reader into territory rarely explored: having the mind (phronema) of Orthodoxy. It is not simply information, but the formation of a particular kind of mind that is called for by the Churchs way of life.

God’s Path to Sanity: Lessons from Ancient Holy Counselors on How to Have a Sound Mind
I found this immensely helpful, and have reread it multiple times. Fr Thomas Hopko's podcast about the book says it well: https://www.ancientfaith.com/podcasts/hopko/path_to_sanity

The Whole Counsel of God: An Introduction to Your Bible
All of our literature said that the council of Nicaea put the Bible together. This author said it didn’t happen that way. That is very disconcerting. What exactly does our church believe?

Stories from the Gerontikon
I used it as part a "mini-retreat" for grade school students and they were captivated by the stories and drawings. What a great way to help them relate!

The Pocket Psalter
This is the best Psalter we've found, and it is a convenient size, too.

Wooden Box, Cross on birch
Although I had to remove the label saying "made in Russia" as I received complaints....the box is selling very well. It is being used to insert a prayer bracelet, a small cross on a chain...or another small gift. One person bought six of them to insert something in each for family members to give at Christmas time. The larger boxes are also selling well. A great idea. Thank you. Harieklia, Parish bookstore buyer and manager

Arise, O God: The Gospel of Christ’s Defeat of Demons, Sin, and Death
As a Catechumen in the Orthodox Church, I found this book very easy to read and it answers many questions I've had most of my life. In my Orthodox journey, I have had to unlearn many things I thought I knew and understood. Arise, O God has helped me establish a better understanding and has given me better footing to continue my Orthodox journey.

The Whole Counsel of God: An Introduction to Your Bible
More than just the most edifying lesson on the Bible, but on history and the Church fathers as well. Answers satisfyingly many of the questions and objections to the historicity and profundity of the Scriptures. I feel privileged to listen to it.

Prayer Rope, 100 knots with cross and red beads
I bought one of these a while ago but lost it on a trip. I immediately reordered, it’s very sturdy and holds up to anything I or my kids can throw at it. Very much a blessing!

The Meaning of Suffering and Strife & Reconciliation
I've read this short, wisdom-filled book no fewer than three times and pray to be able to continue to learn from it during my time on this earth. It has helped me reimagine my sufferings in light of Christ's salvific work.
