Paradise and Utopia 4-Book Set (The Age of Paradise, The Age of Division, The Age of Utopia, and The Age of Nihilism)
The content thus far is amazing. I must confess to being a tad disappointed with the quality of the print. Very faint, and therefore hard to read in anything but very bright light.

A Long Walk with Mary: A Personal Search for the Mother of God
I purchased this book for our church bookstore. One of our catechumens (female) was having problems "dealing with Mary," and that's not unusual. I thought this might help. But in fact, it was a lot more a personal book than really informative about Orthodox thinking about Mary. And knowing this will sound a tad insensitive, how many women with creative writing backgrounds do we need writing about fertility? So I will not be buying more copies. I will rely on Frederica Mathewes-Green's book (as did the author of this book!).

I wish I'd had this book 20 years ago as a catechumen. Excellent on all three topics!

The Orthodox Study Bible, Ancient Faith Edition, Hardcover: Ancient Christianity Speaks to Today’s World
A wonderful introduction to Orthodox Christianity. I am already a believer and this book just helped strengthen that faith as i try to understand members of the Body of Christ from different disciplines. I wish there were more liturgical worship opportunities near where I live.
Good Translation. NKJV is very accurate NT translation to pair with it. Solid quality and beautiful art from the early church. Thank you, for the price it can't be beat.

The Ladder of Divine Ascent (hardcover)
This volume has both the text of St John’s writings and background information written by knowledgeable and distinguished figures in modern times.
St. John Climacus’s ideas are scholarly and spiritual. I’ve found it good to read slowly and think and pray often. This work is important in one’s spiritual being and journey.
The printing and binding of this book are outstanding. High quality paper, and both red and black ink, all worthy of the contents.
This book is wonderful, both physically and spiritually.

Light from the Christian East: An Introduction to the Orthodox Tradition
I first purchased this as an inquirer 2 years ago (amongst many other books) but didn't read it until around the time of my Chrismation. The book does include some good information but I found it hard to finish. Perhaps the content wasn't what I needed at that time so I may revisit it again down the road.

Icon: A Novel
Great novel! I have already shared it with a few friends who also enjoyed it. The writing style flows easily and while it may be a work of fiction was still impactful. There were several moments that brought tears to my eyes because the author does a wonderful job helping us "imagine" the supernatural.

Churchianity vs. Christianity
I am about halfway through this book and already I highly recommend it! It is an "easy" read in terms of language usage but I find myself having to "digest" it in parts and at times re-read especially profound statements.
Metropolitan Bloom's statements are thought provoking and truly helped me in the last two weeks of the Great Fast to have a fresh perspective on living my faith.
