This has been a great tool for our family! We enjoy reading the story every night and learning how all the stories lead to the birth of Jesus. The questions really help to explore the stories with our children (ages 8 and 5). We especially love getting to see each ornament and figuring out how it relates to the story for the day. I highly recommend this!

This is one of the items I returned. It was a beautiful bracelet, but too big for my small wrist. It said it was a size Medium. I inquired about exchanging it for a small, but was told you don't carry that size.

The oil lamp wicks were not good, and the whole surface would light on fire...

I really like this book and have bought 3 more for gifts. I am hoping to have more books as well, since only 101 Saints are covered.

Works great.

God Is a Man of War by Fr. Stephen De Young has the potential to be a very influential book. In this book, the author addresses many of the parts of the Bible that seem problematic from a modern viewpoint. Things such as the story of God sending bears to kill “little children” (KJV translation) who mocked Elisha, the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, the numerous violent battles detailed in the Bible, etc. These stories have always left me confused and unsettled, but I have never come across a source that explained them properly until now. Fr. Stephen De Young adeptly addresses these biblical moments and explains the context in which they were written. More importantly, he explains how these stories fit into the broader narrative of the Bible and God’s plan for our salvation. There are so many things he addresses that have bothered me in my past readings of the Bible that I did not have the tools to unpack. I genuinely believe this book will help me on my spiritual journey as it has removed some of the questions that blocked me from a fuller understanding of the Bible.

I do not have the credentials to speak on the research that went into this book, but the text is both engaging and accessible for those outside of academic circles. I would like to see some academic reviews from people with appropriate credentials on Fr. Stephen De Young’s work be made readily available. It is evident that his work took a lot of study and careful thought. The topics he covers could bring a lot of needed understanding into Christians’ biblical study. This significance makes it all the more important that his researched work has been properly vetted. That being said, everything I have heard about his work has been praise, and I believe that I will be referring to this book many times in the future. I have already recommended this book to several close friends, and I would recommend that you read it as well!

One of the most meaningful books I have read in a long time. Father Joshua invites us to heal through Christ in surfacing our past pain and trauma. He does so with gentleness and with authority. I believe everyone could find a pathway to healing in this book.

Its so interesting how little the majority of us know about the way the tenets of our faith work together to form a cohesive worldview. This book does a great job of helping to fill in those gaps. Highly recommend.

Very pretty at a low price. will bee a nice stocking stuffer.

I like the psalter. It would be nice to see an edition with the psalms in the order as found in most Bibles, and maybe the verse numbers included off to the side. I've used the blank page before the introduction to list the psalm numbers 110-150 with their page numbers written beside them in pencil. The same could be printed in for those who desire to use that order.

Wonderful spiritual reading.

It's beautiful! but I would have liked an English translation of the Ukrainian phrase on the back -- "be safe and saved" was a translation I got from a non-Ukrainian parishioner.

I just LOVE IT!!

Lovely

I enjoyed all of the content that Fr. Joshua provided. His topic was very relevant and interesting. I enjoyed registering with a few ladies from my parish and we gathered to discuss Father's points and share insights. I feel like the retreat schedule could have used some improvement. The lunch break seemed to come and go, and the retreat got behind schedule. I did have to leave early due to another commitment, and since I paid for the retreat, I would have liked the option to receive a recording so that I could enjoy the retreat in full. This was my second online Ancient Faith retreat, and I will likely continue to register in the future! Thank you for offering these retreats.

The perfect gift for first time parents.

I listened to the audiobook of “An Introduction to God, Encountering the Divine in Orthodox Christianity.” It was very good overview of the basics we should all know surrounding our knowledge of God and our relationship to him. The book gave plenty of historical context and clear explanations. Honestly at some times it was too basic and perhaps an overview, but still quite useful when trying to understand how to answer those questions that most of us are asked about our faith and one time or another. I particularly enjoyed the connections made to the ok’d testament and some of the historical details he included. I’ve been wanting to read the book for a long time so I’m glad I finally got to it with the audiobook. (It’s also lovely that it can be spread up for a quick review!) I will defiantly be recommending this book, especially to newcomers to the faith or those who are wrestling with fundamental issues surrounding the existence of God.

The quality is very good and it looks nice on my tree.

I have purchased a variety of coffees from Wanderlust Coffees and I am hard-pressed to choose a favorite. I love them all; however, the Ancient Faith Blend will be one of my go-to blends when I'd like to enjoy an afternoon scone with a mild cup of coffee.

In closing, I cannot say enough good things about Timm, Kristina, and Thaniel Wenger of Wanderlust Coffees. Their customer service is beyond compare and I was especially impressed by their Thanksgiving message wherein they expressed gratitude to ALL who are involved in the production of their products. No job was too small or insignificant to acknowledge. I pray for God's blessing on their business and I wish them continuing and growing success!

Father Stephen is terrific!! This is an excellent book!
