Excellent Calendar

We love it. It is selling like hotcakes in our church bookstore!

I have read many Orthodox "prayer books" over the years and this is one of best in not overwhelmingly the reader with too many prayers while organizing and including the most pertinent.

Amazing book! Highly recommend for any Orthodox Christian young or otherwise.

Beautiful. Most Holy Theotokos, save us.

Extremely beautiful image and inside message.

I like the icons. I bought one, but have not opened it or used it.

Very nice

Very Nice

Very beautiful. A wonderful addition to my icon corner!

Got these as Christmas gifts for the grandkids

Coming from a Baptist/Charismatic background and having converted to Holy Orthodoxy I was completely ignorant of the view Orthodoxy has on death and the afterlife. As my mom moved closer to death I wanted to know more. This book answered so many of my questions not only in a spiritual manner but practical.

It is a beautifully done book. The illustrations are striking and the text is so readable for any age. I bought the books for gifts for the newly baptized in our church. Very well received Thank you

Beautiful Collection of Icons!

it is very Beautiful!

This calendar is so well done that it's my first purchase for anything relating to the upcoming year. I've kept my old ones going back to 2008 because they are works of art as well as being informative.

I'm encouraging you to get this book. Every recipe I've tried so far is delicious! I'm not talking tolerable substitutes, but genuinely yummy meals.

All the recipes are vegan and none of them use soy.
Some recipes have substitution suggestions for nut-free, nightshade-free, gluten-free, and soy-free alternatives.

I'd already tried a few of these recipes over the past few months. The Chocolate Avocado Spread was a hit at coffee hour. The Scrambled Garbanzos are great in breakfast tacos. I often make the Mock Egg Salad for my lunch.

Last night I cooked up half a batch of the Macaroni and Please. My husband tasted it and said that he - yes, Mr. Picky Eater himself - would eat a plate of it.
I also made the Spiced Creamed Cabbage (pictured) and that is wonderful! But what really blew my mind was the Mock Ground Beef. Now, I have not used any of it in a casserole yet, but after I portioned NINE POUNDS of it for freezing I had a couple of spoonfuls in the pot and ate that. I was shocked, not only by how tasty it is, but by how much it actually resembles cooked ground beef in taste and texture. BUT. . . I did use double the amount of mushrooms. My husband did the grocery shopping and he bought 2 16-oz containers and I used one for my weekly roasted veggie mix and then I just used all 16 oz of the other package in the mock ground beef. The recipe calls for 8oz, but I happen to LOVE mushrooms. I'm planning to try other recipes soon!

I have used these calendars for three years now and enjoy having a calendar based on the church year. This year is special as I have been to Kodiak and Spruce Island three times in the last five years with a mission team. This will be a year of memories of walking where Saint Herman walked as I view this calendar.

Your book was interesting and confirmed many of my beliefs. I have also read of God’s Divine Council elsewhere (Dr. Michael Heiser’s “Unseen Realm”) and find it fascinating. I appreciated the in-depth discussion of the ancient world’s view of “gospel” and “evangelia” which helps clarify how first century Christians understood the terms. There are a few points I might quibble with you about if we were to sit down and talk, like, what did you mean by calling the Church the New Israel? Also, I got a sense of Superiority in your tone about the differences of Orthodox and Protestant theology. If we agree on the basics, let’s not divide over non essentials. One last comment. In your last chapter you emphasize the necessity of repentance as part of living what you call “the angelic life” but make no real mention, except in your final scripture reference, to the power within us, namely the Holy Spirit! It’s not me! It’s Him in me!
