We have shared this Akathist with all the mothers of our parish and have been told repeatedly how they have been blessed by it.

Beautiful bible love the picture and description

"One Year with the Divine Liturgy" is a wonderful addition to any program looking to educate their young people (and even adults!!!) on the Divine Liturgy as a whole. The book itself is 8.5 x 11 and spiral bound with relatively large margins, making photocopying activities or coloring sheets extremely simple. In a world of AI, they also thoughtfully hired a talented artist to add various illustrations throughout the curriculum, enhancing its information and making explanations much more accessible to visual learners.

The curriculum is separated into 29 lessons. It begins with teacher training, which explains how to use the book, who it is for, and how to enhance the experience for your students. It also offers a detailed explanation and visual on how to keep track of each lesson as the year progresses, broken down by grade level. Typically, curriculums offer a 'year-end' review, but they have created an innovative way to keep the lessons relevant and in the forefront all year long.

The lessons themselves are made to be very user-friendly. Each has a generalized theme and title, along with a Scriptural reference or hymn to tie into its content. It also introduces vocabulary words with definitions to ease children into the lesson ahead. Instead of printing three different curriculums, they instead chose to combine Early Elementary, Upper Elementary/Middle School and High School into one book, making the process much more affordable and less repetitive. Differing age grades are clearly labeled, making it impossible for teachers to mix-up lessons.

It's clear the author, Jennifer Hock, knows her stuff! From the theology to the movement activities to the thoughtful discussion questions, she has a beautiful way of elegantly teaching the faith and making it accessible for all learners. I tried some lessons with my 7-year-old, and he was engaged from start to finish! I could see the same for those in high school as well, as it built for all learning levels and types.

I do feel it is lacking in referencing multimedia outlets for some of the lessons. For example, instead of saying 'show a video about priests' vestments', steer the teacher to a specific video that would be recommended. I also would have loved to see lengths of time specified. Am I doing the introduction for 5 minutes or 15? It's hard to determine the length of time needed unless you experience firsthand and take notes as you go.

Overall, I would whole-heartedly recommend "One Year with the Divine Liturgy" to use for your Sunday School classrooms, youth ministry events or in the home. Having my own children who constantly have questions during Divine Liturgy, I now have a wonderful outlet to utilize to assist me in 'bringing the church home'.

I’ve only started to read this Bible, I no I will read every word and be able to get a lot more clarity than I would with the living bible. Thank you very much.

This is a beautiful calendar that is filled with color and beautiful icons. It gives me great pleasure to display this in my study.

Just click and add this to your cart!
It is 1) Beautiful illustrated 2) well thought out 3) engaging 4) truly a must have!
I would rate it a TEN if I could! Great gift idea!

This ornament will not break because it is plastic. It has gold glitter and is white. It is about the size of a dollar bill. There is a ribbon for hanging.

This is a beautiful icon with scenes from Jesus's life. Included are the Transfiguration, Annunciation, Resurrection, Assumption, and Baptism in the river Jordan. This icon is a beautiful peachy/orange color with gold accents that are somewhat reflective. It is one of the larger icon triptychs. I personally like this size. One addition that would be nice is, if it could also be hung on the wall as well as stand up.

This is an incredibly heavy gold frame. It is very bright and shiny with embellishments. It can either be placed standing up or hung by an attached gold metal chain. The icon is not very big, as the dimensions are for the frame itself and not the actual icon. Just keep that in mind. It comes in a nice red window presentation box. I would like this better if it was bigger.

Very beautiful icons each month. I may frame some of them when I’m done with the calendar.

I would like to see the references for the Lectionary readings for each day.

This is a simple and gentle introduction to one of the apostles to the people of the British Isles. I appreciate the attention to the other creations of God beyond mankind as ones who also notice His presence and feel His Grace.

Enjoying the edition.

I love the icons they are very good quality

Very well made. Nicely boxed! I have bought many to sell in our church bookstore.

My children love the illustrations and story-telling of each saint. I appreciate the detail provided and the interesting facts. We are all learning together using this resource. Highly recommend, 10 out of 10

Brandi has a way of writing like you are there, living in the pages, breathing in the truth. Beautiful.

Here is also a review from my 13yo, Silas:
I loved the Island and Saint Aiden because of how peaceful it is, and how it makes Saint Aiden feel like somebody I’d know. It makes each of our present day priests feel like a Saint Aiden, in a way. It also makes you realize how alive an island (the animals that live on it, as well as the island itself) is. It also makes us see how holy we can be, and how if we try, we can be like the animals in this wonderful book. (The only thing in this book that I am like right now is the rabbit being lazy in the grass).

Purchased this book set as a birthday gift for my son. He was overjoyed upon receiving it.

This is a great addition to our homeschool curriculum! Beautifully illustrated and filled with thoughtful questions and projects, this book is especially helpful for converts like our family, and appropriate for a wide range of ages in a single volume. Packs a lot of useful information into one book!

Great looking pendent for my car. Christ is with us.

As a Priest, I am always on the lookout for a good planner. I should say that years ago I used to use an electronic planner based on the Palm Pilot (I am revealing my age!). This went well until the laptop I was syncing with had a memory issue and I ended up losing my entire calendar, past and future. Stressful! I switched back to a paper planner, and I have used many of these. including the Greek Archdiocese paper planner which is sadly no longer being printed. So, I was intrigued to see a planner from Ancient Faith, and the academic year planner is more practical to me because it corresponds to the Church year. I love the spiritual features. Thank you for printing this. Great job!
