Orthodox Christian Prayer Book: Full Size Edition
The prayer book is beautiful and now a wonderful prayer aid. While a great product, it (like other off the shelf items I order from AF) delivery is slow even when a faster delivery is desired and paid for.

Akathist to Saint Olga of Alaska
I ordered these in bulk to give out. The first time I prayed this akathist I knew Saint Olga was special and beautiful saint. She is very relatable and I am glad the akathist shows this while also giving hope to the abused and broken.

Thirty Steps to Heaven: The Ladder of Divine Ascent for All Walks of Life
This book is commentary for the Ladder of Divine Assent, which is hard for most people to apply. 30 Steps is an easy read, has many wonderful educational nuggets along with giving you examples of what people usually do and shouldn't and then telling you what you should be doing stead. It's definitely one that you will want to keep in your personal library. I read through it once and I'm now reading it for the 2nd time. This book prompted me to start a book club at my church and this will be the one we start with!

Elizabeth: Princess, Abbess, Saint
I was so excited to receive this book for my 3 year old daughter. While it is a little long for her at this age, she still enjoys learning about “her Saint.” The illustrations are beautiful! St. Elizabeth’s life story is told with lots of details that makes her very relatable. The author tells of her various pious works in a way that is inspiring and instructive. The book focuses mostly on her life rather than her martyrdom, making it great to read with little ones or other sensitive children. Although I was already familiar with St. Elizabeth, I learned a lot about her too. We enjoyed reading this when we first reviewed it and it will be enjoyed for many years in our home!

Elizabeth: Princess, Abbess, Saint
Our family really enjoyed reading St. Elizabeth: Princess, Abbess, Saint together. We were especially moved by how saintly Elizabeth was throughout her entire life—her humility, compassion for helping others, and deep faith truly stood out.
The book was informative yet easy for children to understand, and it sparked meaningful conversations in our home. The illustrations were beautiful and matched the story perfectly, helping bring her life to life for all of us.
A wonderful and inspiring read for families!

Elizabeth: Princess, Abbess, Saint
Elizabeth: Princess, Abbess, Saint will be an inspiration to young readers, giving a beautiful example of Christian faith and virtue. Through Elizabeth’s life, the book shows young readers ways they and their family can help others as children and helps them aspire to give of themselves in greater ways when they are older. It shares Elizabeth’s wisdom in considering a future spouse, then when living with her husband in a foreign land and deciding to convert from Lutheranism and join the Orthodox Church in Russia. It helps us see the importance of appreciating beauty but not living in excess even as one of a privileged status. It displays a life of sacrifice and forgiveness even after great loss or when facing danger. It is well-written, and not too long for my youngest children (ages 9 and 11). The details of her life along with the illustrations kept them engaged. St. Elizabeth the New Martyr has a special place in our family, and we have enjoyed reading the lives of the Royal New Martyrs. I think this book will interest children in reading further in the lives of these saints.

Elizabeth: Princess, Abbess, Saint
In a world where money and status are the most sought-after things and once achieved, more often than not, people get further away from God, Saint Elizabeth the new martyr is an absolute example of a true Christian in the midst of wealth and fame.
This book inspires the young generation to be charitable no matter the situation, to let go of earthly possessions that impede the ascent to heaven, and to courageously reaffirm the one true faith, all for the Triune God.
I am privileged to review this book and eager to share this moving story with my children :).

Heaven Meets Earth: Celebrating Pascha and the Twelve Feasts
I bought 2 copies of this book; 1 for my mother and 1 for me. I’m not sure who is more excited to own it-my mother or me. The book and jacket are beautifully covered with Orthodox iconography. Inside the book is a great deal of easy to read information about the feasts of the Church. I think any Orthodox Christian would love this book whether they have been an Orthodox Christian for 60+ years or newly converted. I highly recommend this book.

Elizabeth: Princess, Abbess, Saint
I have heard the story of St Elizabeth the New Martyr before. Different retellings focus on different aspects of saints' lives, and this one is no different. There were details in this beautifully illustrated children's book that I hadn't heard, and I loved how this book focused on her kindness and generosity. After reading it, one of my kids said, "I want to be a saint, too." - which, I think, is the most important role of studying hagiography: learning to emulate the Church Triumphant. Holy New Martyr Elizabeth, pray to God for us!

The Kingdom of God and the Common Good: Orthodox Christian Social Thought
If you're into history and economics and how it revolves around the life of the church, this book is for you! It's chock full of information about the social ideas and practices of not only Orthodox beliefs but those of other Christian sects throughout the centuries. Things they did right, things they did wrong. I will say that it's not an easy read or listen, simply because it contains so much information on history that if you're not well versed with who's who to begin with will be a mouthful for you. I purchased the audible version, of which the narrator is actually very pleasing to listen to, and this is a book that I myself will wanting to listen to again to assimilate the knowledge more thoroughly. I was also happy that it went into a good bit of an economics lesson, which is important to also understand the overall picture. The added questions to think about at the ends of the chapters were a nice addition too!
